I work really hard and don't make much money. get payed weekly, minimum wage. I was at the drive through bank to deposit my check and the person in front of me left $400 hanging out of the ATM. out comes the angel and devil on each shoulder. the devil: that's two weeks worth of pay! the angel: do the right thing. well I went and parked and went into the bank to give then the money and told them I hope the customer before me gets their money. the tellers were nonchalant about it. I feel bad but at the same time I wish I had that kind of money. I'm sure I did the right thing and I am a honest person. I hope they get their money. I've never encountered this kind of thing before.

Always try to do the right thing for the right reasons, the right way. The guy in the mirror will be a lot easier to eyeball. I get the money thing dude. I'm in the same boat. Money is tight. Just the same...

Bank probably wont do anything about it even if the guy came back, anybody can claim to have forgot money at the machine after withdrawing it. There are federal laws to protect people against lost money from atm errors, and although that wasn't the case here, the guy could have easily contacted the bank when he realized he didn't have his money and had them credit the money back to his account with a claim that the machine simply didn't give it to him.

Really hard choice to make whether or not to keep it. They do have cameras on them so would be good to turn it in.
Now, if it was in the street, screw em. I'd keep it, lol

I wish I knew what it was like to have so much money that I forgot about a machine spitting 400 bucks at me:p Though if it was me, my hand would've been at the opening of the cash slot waiting for that $$$ to spit out! :teehee: No way I woulda forgotten that.
