Throat hit question.

So, respectable community... I have a question.

Say I have two juices, both are max VG and both are 6mg nicotine:

1. Bodacious by Flavaho (Saturday morning cereal with cream and milk)
2. Jery by Cloud Junkies (Delicious vanilla ice cream with chunks of caramel, cheesecake and pecan)

Flavaho delivers extremely satisfying and tight throat hit whereas Jery has no throat hit whatsoever. That being said, at this point I make a conclusion that flavors influence throat hit as well.

Question: could you guys tell me which flavors deliver stronger throat hit? Also, do the origins of VG and PG matter when it comes to a throat hit? Thanks in advance.

There will be slight variations in vg pg products. PH of flavorings matter. Ever try straight pineapple well not just pinapple concentrate but juice i made once i made 20% pineapple and that was something that had the feelings of a throat hit not sure you can equate it to a high nic hit or high pg feeling.. but has similar sensations. Too early for brain to work on others.

@Dead Gummy Worm - tried Nude P.O.M. (pineapple, orange, and mango) and Nude S.C.P. (strawberry, coconut, and pineapple).. Wasn't really impressed by a throat hit. Too light.
Yea i couldnt tell you what to get in the store bought variety, it was more of a omg it was too much when i DIY'd 20% pineapple juice once. flavoring concentrates can make a difference. Heck adding grain alcohol can make a difference. If you are looking for premixed juice im not your guy for figuring out what flavors to get as there are too many variables and unknowns for premix to say with any certainty.

Not my thing but a lot of people get some Koolada or Menthol concentrate and will add that to their premix to have more throat hit

@Dead Gummy Worm - I was thinking about mixing my own juices, but a) I have 2 yo who's roaming around too often; and b) I'm sorta messy. So sticking to premixed juices for now. In regards to menthol - you're right. I've never been a big fan of menthol but then I tried Ice Cola by Steep Vapors and was like "wo-o-ow, this shit's real..." :)

Bah kids are no excuse. I have 2 almost 3 (couple more weeks) i just wait til the wife is around to make sure she can wrangle them and keep them away while dealing with things. The biggest concern is the Nic so that is the first thing i add to any of my jars (i mix in mason jars) i also only mix once every 3-4 months but mix a boat load at a time. Where there is a will, there is a way :D DIY can sound intimidating but it is a lot easier than most people think.

Well, with me it's different.. Even when I'm trying to simply pour juice from glass bottle to a plastic bottle - there is fucking mess everywhere.

There's an additive you can get to mix with your store-bought juice to give it more TH -- it's called Flash, by FlavourArt. EcigExpress has it. It's just flavor, nothing dangerous. That was what I did, to get more TH, before I started mixing my own, and now I just use Flash as a regular ingredient in my DIY.

Be careful with it, it's strong, and too much will make you cough.

Be warned on Flash. It works with the throat hit no probs. But if you have asthma like me it can cause problems. I used it and stopped after it gave me some bad attacks. Problems showed up after steeping.

Yeah I have asthma too, and it definitely can cause coughing if you use too much. It's made with piperine, the chemical that gives black pepper its zing, and if you've ever gotten a flake of black peper stuck in your throat, you may know what I mean. :D

I make a pre-mix that I call "sweet Flash" -- it's 35% Flash, 3mg nicotine, and 1% sweetener, in PG; I can add that to my recipes with less worry about using too much Flash.

My own opinion, for what it's worth, is that throat hit has a lot to do with the juice maker. There are brands I buy that I find have a good throat, pretty much across the range of their flavors. With other juice makers I find the throat hit to be light, pretty much across the range of flavors.

This could have a lot to do with the type of nic being used as well as pg ratio among other variables. But if all things were exactly the same (nic, vg/pg ratio, mixing %) PH of the flavoring makes a difference as well as additives such as grain alcohol, menthol.
