thank you so much for the laugh!!! You have no idea how badly I needed that!!!!!

I feel you girl!!! Have they looked into what is causing yours? My dr could not believe I was able to teach when I finally got into him about a month ago, so I was like I guess that means I will have to take a few days off, his response ... Ha try at least 2 weeks, that turned into 2 more, then the last time I went it turned into dec. 5th. I just want an answer. Speaking of a hot tub, I was in my pool therapy last week, and she asked me, the therapist, if my insurance would pay for a jacuzzi tub. I said I don't don't, but I spend any where between 2 and 4 hours in the bath tub as it is. A day!!!

Ice hurts me a lot. I am glad your cold is better. When I first started teaching, I was lucky it was my 2nd degree, and I already had a little girl when she went to preschool she brought us home, not only the cute little art projects, but every bug under the sun! My current husband is also a teacher and he used to get sick about once a year for at least 3 days, I mean the knock you in your butt sick! Then he started drinking a cup of emergent c every day, and has only been sick once in the last 5 years, and that was this past week he came home skipped football practice and his biddy wrestling program and went to bed. About 9:00 he was running thru the bedroom yelling is it am or pm I was like what? Is it morning or night he asked, I said night, he looked at me funny said I thought I was late for varsity wrestling conditioning, crawled back in bed and I didn't hear another thing until 4:30 when he woke up for wrestling!

Anyway, @VapeOn86 thank you for everything you do here! I didn't mean to sound nosy when I asked how you were, but you are so sweet jumping in and asking all of us!

You guys are by my favorite thread, gives me a place to vent, when like I said yesterday, I have to put the "moms ok, it's nothing serious" look on my face and suck it up!
Even with the nothing serious face, I'm sure the munchkin still worries, kids definitely are alot more observant than we think, but that's the reason kids are so fascinating. They are the reason we should all be better people. It's not supposed to be all about us, we've got to consider the future generations, and they ARE watching us. I know the previous generations have done alot to mess things up, and also given us alot of good, hopefully we can give more good to the next generation than we cause harm.

It's been snowing all morning here in Idaho. Nothing that will stick, just wet and cold.
wow snowing? It was supposed to be the same in ohio this weekend, but my husband and 17 year old, wow that seems funny to me because he turned 17 yesterday, went bass fishing this morning! Last weekend was the last of his tournaments, he starts in March and goes til the end of Oct. To the 2nd weekend in November sometimes. My husband runs the tournaments and all the money raised is given to our wrestling team's booster club for the kids. I have been asked so many times how I put up with the amount of fishing he does. But, I used to be a catholic school principal, was married to a very abusive man, something I hid for years before the divorce. Well I was at a meeting with my fiance committee which consisted of the hot shots in town, lawyers, CEO's and big buisness owners. I was given one week to come up with a unique fundraiser. I stayed up almost the entire weekend looking up fundraisers and booster clubs, when I found his fishing tournaments. His ex lived across the street, but didn't talk to anyone around here, all I knew was there were a lot of men around that house, to the point my 11 years old would say things like mom I hope you never act like that, I'll go live with grandma. Well I knew him also because he had made a huge difference in my old neice in school, who was bilingual, and struggled al to she was very shy, but fell in love with this teacher! Well I contacted him and he did the tournament, we ended up together soon after that we were never apart, so thru this long story, I believe it was @vaporpunx23 that asked our favorite time of the year, that's hard because I love the first day of school, and meeting all those little kiddos, some of them that maybe new to the district, or just the nervous type, they seem so scared, and I love how they look the day after the open house when they come in happy and relaxed, and I always have them write about how they felt before open house, or the first day, and how they felt after the first day! Nothing makes me feel better than easing their little minds and seeing them excited to come to school! However, due to when I started seeing my husbad, football..fall I love that time of year, now don't get me wrong, by the time we hit winter I LOVE SNOW DAYS!!!!!!!!!! Lol ok can you tell I am used to talking all day for a living, and am going crazy pent up in this bedroom!

Favorite time of year? Fall all the way! Perfect temperature (nice cool sleeping weather, not too hot during the days). Beautiful scenery (at least here in the northeast). Football, hockey, chili, Bon fires. Nothing better!

You are so right! I am particularly concerned about my 16 year old. Her dad has only seen her maybe 2 or 3 times sin the last 4 years, I was thinking it was three, she thought five so we agreed on 4 lol. Her older sister has an ok relationship along time ago. Back when he lost all rights to the oldest for emotional abuse, I would tell her one day sweetheart you need to accept your father for the person he is, expect nothing less, nothing more! But don't try to make him what he is not. There was no way no matter how upset I was with that man would I ever say a bad word to my kids about him! That's just not right, divorce is hard enough without that. But my poor girls have both heard bad stuff from the step mom (I hate the word step, but she is straight out of Cinderella and earns that name all on her own) dad, and even his parents, now his sister will have nothing to do with any of them. A few months ago we found out my ex had moved out of state! My daughters concern is if anything happens to me our laws says she has to go live with him.

Last spring my mother in law had a health scare and I dropped my daughter off to visit with her. After she found out her father had moved, she went to see her grandparents. They were very upset because their son just told them that since their children were raised, they were moving away to be alone. He told his mom if there was anything she owned she wanted anyone to have she better give it away now, because he would be back when she died to sell everything, and leave! My poor daughter was so upset she said if you guys need anything, I am driving I will take you or go to the store, grand,a has never had a license and her grandfather doesn't go out in snow. She said when I go away to college you could call my mom and dad, I was like whoa you called him dad? She said yes, I told grandma I was sorry if that hurt her, but he was my dad, and if they needed anything her parents were great people regardless of what her son said. I couldn't believe this 16 year old kid was defending us like that. Her grandparents told her they had always loved me and they were sorry that their son had told them all this bad stuff, and my daughter was like grandma, my mom was a principal Ashe and my dad always had at least one or two of us kids when they dated, he even asked all five kids before he proposed, they are good people. Sometimes, you don't think your kids appreciate you, well let someone else attack you! Needless to say I assured my daughter I would be there if her grams parents needs me, no apologies nothing expected, let the past stay right where it is buried!

Then I think to myself, did I just promise to help these people, the same ones that spread rumors about me, told people I was whoring around with lots of guys, leaving my kids alone blah blah blah! Ok I am off my soap box, for good today! Lol, I guess the idea of being better people for the sake of kids strikes a cord in me!!!! I took a deep breath after I realized what I had promised my daughter and thought I could hear my grandmother whispering in my ear, Dawnie, my girl, you are earning your star in heaven, to which I answered back, Grandma for goodness sakes when it comes to biting my tongue and swallowing some big pills all for the sake of my children, shouldn't I have my own Galaxy up there by now!

And I like to read and get to know you so keep it up. ;)
I can't believe I wrote so much today! Ha know I started getting this book series the first Christmas I was pregnant about a baby and a Rottwt. One of them was called Good Dog, Carl! I always said I wanted to write a series of books, about 3rd -4th grade about my daughter and her mastidane Rufus. Now my rott was extremely smart and very protective of my oldest, but Rufus did, things like let my daughter at 4 drag him backwards thru the house by the tail, with afire mans costume on yelling, put out the fire, and that poor dogs tail was the fire hose!!!! Lol

Mastiff crosses make good dogs. I have a Mastiff/St Bernard cross named Lenny after Lenny from "Of Mice and Men" Big, dumb and kind. Except he's really not dumb at all.

Oh my! I know how big my Rufus was! I can not imagine your dog. I will have to find some pics and and scan them in. I would love to see your baby!!! You are so right they are gentle giants. My vet could not believe that this dog lasted as long as he did, but I believe he stayed around until about a year after I got married, he made sure his girls were safe and well taken care of. He started struggling with his legs doc gave him medicine that worked for a while, then one day he couldn't stand. Making the decision to put him to sleep was oh so hard!!!! But like i told my youngest daughter, Ruffy was her best friend in the entire world, he had done so much for us, we had to do this for him, my mother came to say goodbye the day we were taking him to be put down.
I was sitting on the floor with him and crying and as I told my mom I just could not let him suffer, he started to pat me on the back, of course no one was in shape to take a picture or film it, but my mom tells that story a lot and says she wouldn't have believed it if she had not seen it, it was like he was telling me it's ok mom, you are doing the right thing and I love you for it!:(:(:(:(:(:(:(

I've been a tech since windows 3.1 and was programming before that
@Thayer i missed some earlier posts and I saw you were a tech. I need a new virus protection software, one that will get rid of what pops up looks like a virus scan and tells me I need to get rid of damaged files and I have to subscribe, blah blah, I assume this is some malware that has attached, what is your best suggestion for something that is reasonable yet will clean up the garbage on this otherwise nice computer! Any help or suggestions you have would be great!

Not sure how old he is. We lost our last dog last winter. Age got her. We got the white, high strung English Pointer from the pound in early spring. Lenny's owner died, some filthy rich dude, and he had been living in a very large dog run with two other Bernard crosses, not mastiff. We have some friends that worked for the guy and they were trying to find a home for them. They thought he was six, but the vet thinks he is younger. It took him some time to adjust but he is doing well.

Good Day my friends!! Well my son came home he is in chronic rejection, we are stopping plasmapheresis and starting IVGV in hopes it will slow the process. Treatments went from $2500 each visit to $4500 looks like I will be cutting down on my vape supplies but its so worth it

@JustMe wins $50 cash! (Well more likely check) We know it's not much, but hopefully it will help just a little bit with paying for your sons treatments. :) We at Vaping Watch also send our prayers!!!!

Oh my!!!! How very cool! There are so many wonderful people on this site, I would not want to be you and have to pick!!! Thank you thank you thank you!!! I was just hinting to my husband that would like a clone like the zen BigDaddy got last month or a big box mod, like the t6 or t8, how long do we have to use the code, I think I may try getting my husband to use it on something as a surprise for me, if I can wait that long!! But seriously, this helps. Finding out this week that I will soon be going on the family medical leave, since I only have like 5 sick days left, and I will not have a paycheck, yet we are now signing up for an ins. At work, that this issue, will not be covered for a year, but if I had had it befor would have at least paid me 60% of my salary. Really puts a crimp on our budget, we have a daughter in grad school, and 3 teens at home, the daughter in grad school is getting married next summer, thankfully I have most of her deposits covered, but there still are a few left. I got my Christmas club check earlier this week and thought, I may just have my hubby get one of those, now I am freaking thinking, we may need this for bill money!

@Just Me you also have my prayers, when I read your posts, I think of how lucky I am!!! When we were little and sick, mom used to say, oh I wish I could take it for you, I did the same with mine. When my oldest had a scary mole removed at 8 and they were bracing us for the worst at Akrons Childrens Hospital, I prayed dear lord, let me take this for her! I would bare any illness to keep my children safe, so you definitely make me realize it could be worse, and I pray things get better for your son soon! Bless you!

oh can I give @JustMe some of my prize? She gave me $25 of hers when she won and I'd like to return the favor :)

You all have such big hearts and it truly is inspiring to see such goodness in this world especially on such a crappy day when I've been caught up in my own selfish troubles
