yeah, I think I'll cut my self a little thin plastic washer between batter and that spring because that's no good! that spring is bad! or washer or whatever it's called I also only have one now. u should get like twenty or something. I don't even know where to get spares..... once their all broke the mod is useless!

Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
No not useless....u have any o rings? From like an rda? Or something? Just use those. I doubled up on 2 from my goons...worked just fine too. Notice some of the little arms broke on mine? I still have 1 more...havemt filed it yet. My raven came with 2

mine came with two as well, but now one snapped so only one left. what are the odds of it breaking again? it just seems a little wonky..... Maybe plastic spring could replace it or something but what happens when it eventually is so weak ull need to replace it. who do we contact? I knew I should have gotten a AV clone instead lol or no clones at all meh!

The spring collapsed on ya. Should invest in mechs with magnet or clutch systems or get a silver spring that will handle the voltage better. If not then build higher.

The only concern I got is my battery I got lg HE4
And Sony vtc6 ....

One should never be worried about their batteries...alone they do nothing...be worried about your knowledge base and common sense...If you ever question yourself...that right there is enough to kick in the common sense part and you should stop everything and correct it... with knowledge.

Could always buy some batteries better suited, but truly know Ohm's Law and battery safety. KISS method is best! ;)

no it tore a hole in the battery this causing full melt down lol without the theatrics. anyways I know ohms law I know my mechs inside and out, have several mechs actually too many. what threw me off is the new concept of no spring, no magnet type setup. problem solved. won't happen again. EVER. I vape with pure mechs daily, and I never have issues.

Cut 510 insulator to keep the wrap from being torn up and replaced the spring washer with a real spring after my fins broke off.

The two Ravens I have each lost one of those tiny balls and springs, if your handy, and have a punch you might want to give them a wack.

I was able to polish mine up quickly using a drill fitted with a cork. I secured the cork in the chuck using a 2 1/2" #8 Philips head screw. Sanded using wet dry paper from 400 grit to 3000 grit. Finished with some chromium oxide paste. I did lose most of the etching.

damn that looks great! I need to go the sand paper and drill route. will never get a finish that smooth with just a rag and some paste.

I cannot wait for a 21700 tube mod to come out. Mooch said the new 30T Samsung 21700 battery was good for 40 amps continuous discharge, that would be a sweet combo with some low ohm builds. 25mm diameter would be a perfect match for some great RDTA tanks out there like the Aromamizer Supreme! Anyone else anxiously awaiting the new 21700 batteries and tube mods?????

Here are a few more of my finger print magnets. You will need get good use of your rag and polish once you have them all shined up. The pictures really don't do them justice.

To not lose the etching as much, you can use 1500, 3000, 5000. Once it's smooth like a mirror you can just clean it on a regular basis with a microfiber cloth (the kind that you use to polish a car) after rubbing on some of this stuff... it's how I clean my Purge Mods Maelstrom and my Purge Mods Hagermann Serenity... not going to use sandpaper on these. lol :p

One thing that works well to get scratches out is toothpaste - especially the teeth whitening kind, that contains some soft abrasive: it takes time to shine metal up with it, but it's very gentle and won't damage anything.

Ok, I have a question for all the mechanical masters on here. I am looking for a good reliable 30mm diameter 26650 tube mod with a recessed fire button. I have a Hammer mod but it only fires when it wants to. Basically the firing mechanism is way too loose and does not alway make a connection. I need something a little more precise and reliable. Anyone have any suggestions on any that may be available in the states? Thank you in advance for any and all suggestions!

Hey CV,

I'm by no means a master with mechs, but I recently picked up an old school 26650 UD Galdiator online from Vapor Bank for $10.00. It has a recessed firing button with a reverse threaded locking ring. The build quality seems good. Has a 510 connection, copper pin in the switch and what appears to be a silver plated copper firing pin with the typical 2 screw battery rattle adjustment. I am waiting on some IJoy 30Amps batteries to arrive in the mail to give it a try. I've used 18650 mechs for years and still have many of my original mods in rotation. I have always straid away from the 26650 simply because I was uncreatain about the quality of batteries. I came back to vaping about 6 months ago after a 1.5 year being back on the stinkys. I am amazed with all the diversity and the value propositions on gear out there. I typically vape between .2 and .4 ohms so 30Amp CC battery maybe overkill but I'm hoping the MAh of a 26650 will keeping me vaping longer without having to carry spares.

Oh yah. That's why I prefer Mechs. They never go out of style and they are nearly indestructible.
nothing like authentic mods!
I do have a clone on the way made of all brass, from Italy. again it's a clone but for a fraction of the price. it's supposed to be a really well made clone so we'll see.

This panzer is kick ass. and I actuallly have the sunwayman v10 flashlight that matches the panzer lol it totally blew past me till I did a quick Google of sunwayman. difference is the panzer is SS while the light is Ti. I need to find the flashlight! I'm just as much of a flashlight hoarder as I am a vape hoarder. shit everywhere

I have 2 Panzer clones as well. My stainless steel one I purchased years ago and isn't as high quality as the copper clone. The copper version has a reverse threaded locking ring and a much beefy copper positive pin.

I'm with you on the mechs. Although I have at least a dozen regulated devices, I pretty much use them when I'm one the road or need something with a long battery life. I also use them to make sure there is nothing wonky with my builds before using them on a mech. I own both authentic and clones. But, in truth I have a difficult time dropping $200.00 on a mod when there are so many comparable clones out there for a fraction of the cost.

We all have our addictions, at least that's what I tell myself, and apparently I like shinny things. I also feed a straight razor and double edge razor addiction. There is something about shaving with something that's been around for 100+ years.

You should try stone. Something like obsidian that's been napped to a fine edge.

No I understand and those are magnificent pieces of functional history, most surgical scalpels are made of obsidian. It's been used for thousands of years.

On the left the Pilak, on the right the Pilak Panther. Both by 2JNT and 92.5% pure silver, they are the hardest hitting and smoothest vape I've ever experienced. Just simply fucking amazing to be accurate.

And strictly functionally-speaking, your "budget" mods work just as well as the insanely expensive ones - not to mention, while many super-expensive mods are real works of art, many of them are nothing more than ridiculous 3D-printed el-cheapo boxes with a bent hacksaw blade in them, that certain people are inexplicably willing to drop a fortune on...

Me, I'm proud to say I never paid a dime for the few really nice mech mods that I own: I won them at poker or at the pool hall. Looking at them is half the pleasure, knowing how I got them is the other half.

No they don't, I have a very wide variety of Mod's and there is a pretty significant difference between a lot of them.

A Wife? Yeah I had one of those once that I used to spend an insane amount of money on ;)

Anyway I stopped driving over 10 years ago (live downtown), don't have Cable TV, live pretty simple so my expenses are pretty minimal. Vaping has become my hobby and keeps me somewhat out of trouble ;)

well I can say this authentic arthas 26650 kicks the ohmega shorty and chi you megan ass any day!
cloned goon 22 with a subzero 22 chuff. removed the inner vent sleeve to install chuff. hits well! people wouldn't know the goon is a clone unless they saw the shoddy posts and their isn't a ledge for easy coil install. other than that, this authentic mod with the cloned goon hits well very well. with a little Frankenstein Modding!

Apologies if my post in any way seemed condescending, not the intent in the slightest...more of a jealousy thing for I admire Filipino mechs...Have one, but like I mentioned, its the Honda DX of most Mechs from DDV lol

Really should just have family buy it locally for me and then mail them to me. $450 Tube at our cost is a months wages there, and I know local conversion rates they wouldn't charge a months wages there for a mech.

Yeah I have a few of those sleeves myself, don't use them though cause I like the extra battery life. The iJoy 26650's being 30a with 4200 mAh that hits as good as a 18650, it's awesome.
