I've been using a mad hatter RDA for the better part of a year now. Im sick of it. Although enjoyable its become a cumbersome task to maintain and use especially when I dont have two free hands and I often dont. I want a tank. But after reading and reading im caught up in which tank would be best for me and has my head spinning since im not made of money (who is right). Im using a Reuleaux RX 2/3 mod with 18650 3000mah batterys. Id like to get a tank without changing my mod setup but would be willing to if I had too. in a perfect world id like a tank with two coils that could withstand at least 80 watts. For as long as I've been vaping im still I shameful noob and thought id pick the brains of our community, and see what my best options would be based off all your personal opinions/experiences.

EDIT: I bought the SMOK cloud beast king sub ohm tank. I got it on sale from vaporjoes deals for 25 bucks. Although i think it deserves the title cloud beast it isnt what I need. Drained my batteries in 2 maybe 3 hours at 100w and had to refill the 6ml tank twice. Thats not gonna work for me. At least it was cheap right?

Any thoughts? - Sam.

Have you looked into rdtas? I love my OBS Engine and it's very easy to coil and wick. Same with the Big Baby Beast. Both have good sized tanks.

The tfv8 Cloud Beast with the Q4 coil is not quite as brutal as what you described for juice and battery life. I was surprised that I enjoy it as much as I do. I also enjoy the original Cleito these days, and the Cleito 120 might work. New Crown 3 getting lots of attention. Big Baby Beast also a possibility. I use Cloud Beast first, then Cleito, then Uwell SE-1.

AS far as rebuildable tanks, you could get a Boreas tank for $16.99 at Eciggity.com. It is a solid performer and has a pretty big following. I love my Aromamizer Supreme even more which is a similar setup but a higher price tag. These are both 25mm tanks so they should fit pretty much any device.

Happy Vaping!

Was also going to suggest the Boreas

Just remember, almost any tank with double coils @ 80 or more watts is going to suck down the juice pretty quickly ;)

Maybe im not being realistic.
coils would vary with juice consumption right?

More like the opposite: juice consumption varies with the coils and how much power you need to fire it to a level where you enjoy the vape

Like JuicyL said, dual coils @80W in anything will guzzle juice.
I'm using a single alien coil in my Ijoy exo rta @50W right now. I normally prefer thick juicy clouds from dual coils, but this is surprisingly good. Tasty with fair clouds, great battery life, and not overly thirsty.
Maybe an rta with single/dual deck options would suit you, too?
You can also go single-coil with most velocity-style decks. Just place the coil between the posts and bend the legs back through the holes. Might have to get creative with the wicking, depending on the deck.

A RTA huh? Never heard of that before. It kinds looks like a cross between a tank and RDA. Thanks for that

If you want a nice single coil setup. I would suggest the Ammit rta. I love mine!

I have been using mine for around 3 months. I really like it. I built a fused clapton coil for it. 26 gauge nichrome80 cores wrapped with 38ga 316 Stainless Steel. 5 wraps around a 3mm ID screwdriver and she is right at 0.3ohms. Works great on my Phantom 18650 Mech mod. If you decide to pick one up, let me know how you like it.

Happy Vaping!

Surprised I just saw this

In case you didn't get your questioned answered in the last couple of weeks, an RTA is a Rebuildable Tank Atomizer IE: a tank where you build your own coil(s)

I would second trying an Ammit..Single coil and half the power needed for a good vape...im at just under 40 watts and get a better vape than some of my dual coil rta's.

A dual battery mod using 3000 mah batteries lasts me the better part of an entire day...im sure a 3 battery mod would do that easily.

Im not saying you wont down some juice so its always good to bring some spare with you..The tank isnt really huge...if you want a big tank try a 30mm or larger tank but i dont know of any that are single coil.

If you are spoiled on using an rda ,a tank might possibly disappoint you in a sense..not that you cant get good flavor and clouds from a tank but flavor is usually always better with an rda so, on that note why not try a Squonker?..best of both worlds.

I did get my issue worked out. I was able to purchase a RBA for my smok cloud beast king. Its amazing. Definitely worth the money. Its everything I wanted out of vaping!

RTA's are the way to go especially of you like cheap! That's what got me into coil building and diy juice in the first place lol. The flavor you get from rebuildables is much more enhanced than what you get from factory made coils. Would you say the rba base in the tfv12 is giving you better flavor than the coils that came with it?
