Hawkie would be proud. Went to the beach this morning looking rather unkempt. Coming home through the train station, a guy looked me up and down and said "Oh well, at least you're wearing pants" lol

Momma Saint is doing great, aside from the hair, but thats why they make wigs. I'm not doing too bad either, been working my skinny lil butt off making sure Ma Saint doesn't over do it or take any unnecessary risks. She's having a hard time with having so many limitations, and having her son tell her what to do is hard to get used to. But like I told her "its like everywhere I look there's a billion lil germs trying to kill my Momma! your lucky I dont saran wrap you for the rest of the process" lol

46 hours of no power due to a storm Friday evening.
85-95 mph winds.
We had very minimal damage but our whole neighborhood and surrounding ones were torn up.
No tv...internet...lights or air conditioning. Reading by candlelight. Except for being a bit warm, it was kinda relaxing.

Being married to a forester who works in the Sierra Nevada I know all about beetle infestation. Every time we drive up the hill he points out huge swathes of dead and dying pine and fir. :(

Morning!

First morning this week that they haven't called me in at 7ish. Between having more work to get done than humanly possible and my wife raging about how much time I'm spending at work, my stress levels are through the roof. Makes me second guess my decision to quit drinking. A barstool and a cold beer would be a welcome refuge right now. Guess I'll have to settle for my earbuds, pandora, and my lawnmower this weekend. Serenity now!

Morning knuckles ️ errr ... Afternoon knuckles.

(((((2pak)))) maybe a walk together? Or alone. Just a few minutes to hang out outdoors and to stop and listen to the silence can help clear my head usually. Idk I'm not a doctor, sometimes I play a doctor but that's a different story for another time

Hello everybody~ I am home for a couple days. It has been a very hectic few weeks. Granddaughter's wedding was beautiful and the side effect of having it here is a much nicer yard and a cleaner house! Not to mention a freezer full of leftovers. Sis and I catered it as an authentic Italian spread complete with cannolis! Yum! Then, I have been working every minute and mile I can to earn enough money to support my retired husband and pay off wedding bills.

I know I have missed some birthdays and illnesses as well as Mama Saint's glorious return home with new bone marrow. Love, hugs and kisses to all.

Oh, and my lil Siegeli Fuchai is getting a bit wonky with the battery door so I grabbed a new 213+ for $39.99.

That's about all the news that's fit to print!

Hi Glow'!
Step-daughter is getting married tomorrow. Her mother is at home making her cake today . . . . :stars2:
My sister did a 3 tiered cake for the wedding. She is a great cook and baker. I enjoyed a piece of Ricotta Cheese Pie today that she baked for the wedding buffet but we had so much food, we forgot to put out the pies. The cannolis were filled with raspberry mousse and they were to die for.

Many wishes for a long, healthy and happy life for the newly weds to be!

Morghan (granddaughter) is without her new "wife". Frankie lives in Great Britain and had to return home a few days after the wedding. Morghan is in the process of getting the right kind of Visa that will allow her to move across the pond. I love Frankie and her family. I look forward to visiting someday. Also, they will be back here now and again, at least, that's what they have promised.

Sounds like you've been a busy lil Glowplug! I've been pretty busy here as well. Making sure Ma Saint takes her meds (~25-30 pills a day, she's going to be working her way off of some of them soon if all goes well)
,preventing her from doing anything too risky, and the like caregiver duties.

I realized I've been running myself way too hard and I'm gonna have to slow down so I don't work myself to death or into a padded cell
