Hey guys pretty new to the whole diy world however already had a few successes with flavors. Just made a big batch of sweet flavors that are quite dark and have found that my coils are burning out real quick.
Any suggestions appreciated.

Unfortunately not I have to change cotton every day as I enjoy bakery flavours.. a few drops of lemon helps but mutes the flavour a little.. high vg are worse .. just part of the consequences of enjoying rich dark juice

Ha! Well that sucks i guess. Just another one of those "finer things in life".
Just bought myself a few custards chocolates and sweet cream flavours too.

I don't DIY but I can tell you dark juice will gunk up your coils faster than light juice. I will let the experts tell you which ones will gunk it up faster than others. If your like me and like some of the darker juice start rebuilding if your not already. It will save you a lot of money in coils.

Never wanted to get into this sort of thing just wanted to stop smoking to save money. Now im addicted to trying new flavors and burning through a pack of coils a week.

Yes RDA / RTA. I choose to use RDA's.. It is cheaper than buying stock coils. Something to look into.

Just made a big batch of sweet flavors ....

No matter the color, some Sweet mixes ( think Sucralose or other artificial sweetener additions) can overly gunk coils. Without your recipe, I can't tell if this is a factor.

Shouldn't be dark with those flavours unless the stock coils aren't soaking up because of high vg.. when I'm out and about I some times use stock coils and it helps if you put a couple of pin holes in the cotton before you add the juice just seems to help.. I vape a strawberry 90% by on self build coils and it last a few days before the coil starts to clog up.. self build rda is the way to go with high vg

The more PG the more hit .. PG gives me a bit of an aching chest as soon as I switch to HVG problem goes away .. this pic shows my coils after 3 hours ( I chain vape) still clean but will need to be changed tomorrow morning .. HVG cheesecake .. 0.3 dual SS 317l ... 8 wraps on the coils

You do get to a point though where you just want a decent vape and all the different rda' s etc can be mind boggling but eventually you find the right one. Go full into self build though it's worth it both in the pocket and the going experience..

IMHO, a RDA will provide the best flavor but unless it is attached to Squonker just too much of a PITA for me. Other than that, I prefer RTAs and being a lazy bloke I purchase pre-twisted coils to install for about 70 cents each and they last me a couple of months if cared for.

That way when you need a new coil, just pop out the old one, and install a new one!
