I'm a very sad Bear today. My 97 yr old mom-in-law passed away this morning. She's been in assisted living for four years, and slowly going downhill. Actually, she's wanted to be 'gone' for a few years. Got pneumonia 2weeks ago and was in hospice for the last 10 days. So glad she was around for her 2 great grandchildren.
Just needed to share...
I am so sorry to hear this. My heart goes out to you. Mom was ready to go long before she passed. Prayers for you and your family to heal through this grief and to find the joy in having shared her life. I don't know what else to say.

Good luck, Keith.
I was at Urgent Care the other day getting my foot x-rayed. It was really ugly and swollen but nothing was broken and it's a lot better in just a few days.
But those places are such a drag. I hope you get to stay out of hospitals for a long time.

She's better though still feeling bloated with minor abdominal pain. I think she's going to get a CT scan next week if there's no improvement.

Going to try and play golf tomorrow. . . bittersweet since one of the group underwent 3x bypass surgery this morning. I may be going back, but this time just for a visit.

Wife has a drain in her abdomen. Surgery not required at the moment since her appendix already ruptured.

Yes, I'm tired of hospitals . . . ..

at least now, if you gets you about vaping, you can reply "should you be eating that?"

I was tempted to tell her that her symptoms were from eating too much mangoes, but she was too weak . . .
The anti-vaping thing is from my doctors at the hospital that led them to believe that vaping caused my illness. My being in the icu for 5 days did not help my case any . . .
MY pcp is the only one that seems to have any real knowledge about it. She asked what my nic level was at (3-6mg) and did not say anything negative.

Bork, bork, bork!
So, I dropped the dripbox Keith sent me and broke the battery door off. Duct taped the door back on and kept using it. It was fiddly though and would lose contact. All the duct tape made it hard to remove the bottle. So, eventually the bottle cracked, forcing me to use electrical tape on the bottle to minimize leaking. This went on for two weeks until my wife finally succumbed to my woes and let me order a new one.

Thanks! She's getting a bit stir-crazy waiting around, but she (hopefully) should get discharged tomorrow..
Find her a nice addictive game to pass the time... I think the kids are playing pong on their fancy dancy atari nowdays... I also hear theres a new fad where you crush candy with a soda bottle, but it doesn't sound like much fun.

She doesn't care for those and there's only so much scrabble and sudoku she can do on her phone. She just wants to go home . . .

Heading to a cookout with my three best friends from High school. This will be the first time we've all been together since then. Should be a good time catching up.

Was accidentally speaking out loud this morning on my way to the library.

Pro tip. If you are thinking "stab, stab, stab, stab"... Keep it internal. Not out koud while passing young mothers putting their todders in car seats.

That explains the guys with walkie talkies and shiny buttons following me at the store. I gotta remember to use my brain to facehole filter.

I miss you guys! been too busy for my own good lately... Not sure if it's depression, stress, or just everything going on, but I haven't felt quite myself the last couple weeks...but the good news is I got my farmers tan from "T-shirt" level all the way up to "wife-beater/A-shirt" level. Looks like I'm movin' on up in the world... I think?

Morning all.

how is the missus?

morning knucks

we are into wet and windy winter now, which some define as "early spring"

some nice native flowers this time of year, which i'll try and get some pics of. Red gum are just blooming, which goes a long way to brightening up the views

not much happening here. I've started down the regulated mod road, mostly using a hcigar vt inbox. No maintenance is superb, and the electronics seem to have caught up with mech quality vapes IMO.

Missus is better. Still weak with some pain from her drainage tube, but insists that she's well enough to work. She is saving her PTO days for vacation time later this year.

I'm enjoying my BAM and Evade mods too. Mech's seem to be "in" at SP though.
