HIC's Schwartzwӓlder Kirschtorte recipe: The flavor of the real German cake, quite different from the kid-friendly, Americanized version! It begins with a not-too-sweet cake made with dark cocoa and drenched in kirschwasser (aka kirsch). Kirsch is a double-distilled cherry liquor, not sweet, but high in alcohol content. The sweet, creamy filling includes Kirsch-soaked, fresh black cherries plus black espresso. Whipped cream topping spiked with more kirsch and lightly sweetened. If you think your taste buds can handle authentic German flavor, give this a try. (Here is a baker's recipe for the real cake.)

1.5% FA Cocoa
1% FA Black Cherry
1% FA Brandy
1% FA Cherry
0.5% FA Fresh Cream
0.5% FA Tiramisu
0.5% FA Vienna Cream

I recommend letting this sit 24 hours before you vape it. Tiramisu needs at least overnight for the rich cake flavor to develop. Brandy also needs that time to settle down.

FA Tiramisu does triple-duty here; the cake, dark chocolate, and espresso flavors can all be noticed when you vape this. The boozy cherry flavor is awesome - definitely needs both of FA's cherry flavors to taste just right, because it is a main flavor. Vienna Cream smooths the chocolate cake flavor and makes rich filling. Fresh Cream tops it all off just right. If it's too bold for you even after it sits a day or two, add another 0.5% Fresh Cream.

This is a great vape when you want a bold, flavorful dessert vape that's not dripping with sweetness.

Awesome!! I was literally just sitting down to start experimenting on this very mix! I dropped some of your choc covered brandy cherries into a choc cake mix I've been playing with the other day, it got me to thinking of black forest gateau! And now lookie here you've beaten me to it HIC, check the skills of the man haha.

Of course i'll be following your recipe but could I ask a couple of questions...

What d'you think would happen if I dropped the Tiramisu and Vienna cream? and would Cappella Cake batter serve as a sub at all?

Believe me I really don't want to start messing with your creations HIC but i'm pained to spend £4 postage on just two concentrates ;)

Dropping Tiramisu would erase the cake flavor  If you have another brand's Tiramisu, that would be a good second choice. That Capella's is way too sweet and goooey to replace Tiramisu, though it might do okay in place of Vienna Cream.

Hmmm....you could try a coffee flavor in place of Tiramisu, and any vanilla-cream or vanilla-cake flavor in place of Vienna Cream. That's the best I can think of. (But I gotta add, if you're using FA flavors and don't have Vienna Cream, you're really missing out on a great one.)

Absolutely fantastic!! Cheers HIC

Yep I only use FA flavours now, I bought the Capella along with other weaker flavours on my first purchase, since learned FA is the only way to go :)

Vienna cream is on the next order list and i'll get on with the subs you suggested for the time being.

Cheers ;)

Hmmm where the hell would I get kirsch?

Haven't hunted down a good bottle of Kirsch yet, or found the fresh black cherries, so the cake is still on hold.

I did mix a 3 ml PV sampler of this recipe though and it is really good after only 36 hour steep! The cherries/brandy work together nicely!

Warning to high power vapers, this had a scorched taste if I went above 25 watts! Was best to me between 15-20.

Just had my delivery from FA of all the bits I was missing :D CAN'T WAIT!!!!!

I normally vape as close to 100% VG as pos on a mech mod, but I've just bought an orchid and one of those little isticks for daytime vaping. Does anyone have any VG/PG ratio preferences for a tank on this mix?

I'm running pure vg in the orchid and its wicking fine as long as you wick it correctly and unscrew the chimney as much as possible

Cool, Cheers. I was kind of thinking of putting at least some PG in the mix, just to get the super flavour hit you can get from a tank and Pg. I might make a vg max mix after but probs use my dripper

I really like this vape and your right it's a great dessert juice without allot of sweetness.

I don't know about the post regarding scorching above 20 watts. I like it at 40. Maybe I like scorch flavor and didn't notice. Has anyone else gotten a scorched taste?
