New to vaping, Confused with the Coil

Okay so, Im new to vaping and i just got my first kit 3 weeks ago, its "SMOK R80 Tc" its a good mod over all and since I've been using it for the past 3 weeks, i figured its time for me to clean my tank and Clean/Replace my coil, which is 0.3 Fused Clapton i think, now my question is, is it okay if i wash my old coil and re use it or get a replacement & i got a replacement coil which is dual steel 0.25 sub ohm i think, whats the difference between the 0.25 and the one im using right now?

I'm not sure what an R80 is. So I'm not sure which tank it is either, but in general the coils are disposable. So you can't wash them (destroys the cotton). The lower the ohms also usually means more clouds. If it's one of the pen tanks I "think" the .3 is nicrome and the .25 is kanthal but I could be off on that.

That is a SMOK Micro One and Micro TFV4 Tank.
Myself I find the 0.3Ω CLP2 coils to produce the best flavor.
Just replace the coil with a new one.
As Cormic stated, washing the coil out really doesn't work well.
many have tried using all kinds of methods.
It's just easier to replace them.

Alright thanks bro, but what really is the difference between the 0.25 and the 0.3? other than producing more clouds

That about it. Lower ohms usually means more juice gets vaporized. Some times that means more flavor sometimes not. It will draw a little more current so your battery will drain faster but I don't think you will notice a difference of .05.
Your a bit more likely to notice a difference in taste if the coil material is different as I suspect, but that's different for everyone as to how much difference if any, and if there is a preference.

Edit: if it's the tvf4 I don't know any particulars about the coil materials.

The STC2 (0.25Ω) is stainless steel dual coil
The CLP2 (0.3Ω) is kanthal
I get better taste from the CLP2
Can't really tell you much more than that.

The stainless wire can be used for TC mode The Kanthal not...... the ss coil might have a little more wicked surface area... but without knowing gauges iDK.

None of my MOD's will not fire, they all go into wattage mode because the coil is not capable of firing Kanthal in TC Mode. What MOD do you own that will not fire?
