Hello all, I am looking for some suggestions on a new mod. I am currently running a IPVd3 and it just took a dive into some water. Still works but i feel its a ticking time bomb and it is being retired from service.

This mod has been great to me and bulletproof. My tank of preference is the merlin mini. I vape at no more than 40w single coil.

I have been searching for a new single batt 18650 mod but am having a hard time finding one that has good reviews and built well and under 100 dollars. This forum always has great input thanks in advance.

Not a brand new one, but the Eleaf Pico is a tried and true one. I love mine and I see it recommended frequently, still. I think it came out maybe just over a year ago. Another oldie, but goodie, is the eVic VTC mini. Love them both.

Another with good reviews, is the Joyetech Primo mini.

If you look at the Pico one thing to remember.
Pico - can only have a 22mm atty on it.
Pico 25 - From what I hear you can go up to a 24 mm atty.
Just something to think about when looking.

I haven't watched too many reviews of it for functionality, temp control etc so may want to do some research. Geekvape's got their aegis mod starting to ship, it should survive a dunk in the water. It's a 100w single battery with multiple battery options. It's about the size of a dual battery mod from the looks of it.

For me the all around best single 18650 (non-DNA) is the evic VTC mini. The Firefox firmware is an added bonus. If you want something a little more functional and fancy, the hcigar nano is a nice one.

Pico and eVic will both update to the Arctic Fox software, which is nice.
Pico has been good to me so far, as has my eVic.... But my eVic is the 5000maH self contained battery not the mini.
I like both equally !
Just saw a Pico deal somewhere.... less than 30 USD.... cant go wrong there IMHO !
Just sayin.....

Definitely the Pico. I love mine! I also have a Dotmod that's single battery.....a little pricey, but beautiful and works well.

Sxmini M class old stock can still be had for under $100, IMO the most reliable, accurate and consistent device when it was released a few years ago. Still have a couple and never a problem. Doubt the old stock sale prices would carry the same warranty but you could talk to the vendor about that. Take a look at Varitube.com $89 is under half what I paid for mine originally.

Has anyone a Hcigar VT75? I can get one here and I like the size and the Evolv DNA chip.

Although I have a Pico Kit and very pleased with it the xTaste Nano 90W is a recent addition to my collection and gaining favoritism.

D3 was on a cart behind me when i was working and I looked back to it just firing on its own. Sadly it had to go. The D3 was a tank though I once ran one over with my car and it still worked! Bought 3 on an ecig.com deal but have since destroyed all of them in mostly very dumb ways.

Picked up a Pico for 24.95 and another moonshot for 29 ish on elementvape.com.

Pico is on its way what is the advantage of updating to this software? Will do it day one if it is worth it.

Updating it to the AF firmware will give you many more options. Power Curves, Pre heat functions ect. Here is a link for you to take a look.

Forgot to mention, IMO temp control works much better with this firmware.

I've heard you get better battery life as well because it lowers the cutoff point of the battery.

In my experience I updated my RX200S to the 250W firmware but noticed decreased battery life as another member stated in a post so I rolled it back. Just because it is new doesn't mean the bugs have been worked out or discovered. Just my opinion remember........

It was due to the extended display time from what I could deduce.
