Hi all,

I have been just browsing the recipes page and came across HIC's Hawaiian upside down cake, sounds lush but it got me to thinking about a vendor near by that does an A-masing Pinapple upside down cake!! and wondered if anyone out there has a recipe for it?

This one near by has a proper warm cake taste but there seems to be almost a liquorish undertone, which may sound a bit weird but gives it a REALLY moreish sort of flavour. To be honest I can't really detect much pineapple in it but I think its just blending up in all of the cakey goodness.

If anyone could help I would be very grateful

The liquor-ish taste reminds me of FA Liquid Amber. It helps fruit flavors seem baked/fermented... I got that description from HIC, lol.

Ahhh, thanks Huck! Now we're getting somewhere.

I was looking at the amber on my last order to FA, got Ozark sweetleaf instead, Bugger! lol still, not a bad flavour but maybe I might have had more use from the amber. :D
