Staggered Fused Clapton for TC - possible?

Hi,

I made 26/32 Stainless steel Staggered Fused clapton dual coil build on my TFV12 and Velocity RDA. It is 6 wraps on 3mm ID Spaced coil, .14 ohm.

It is constantly throwing me out of TC. I tried it on several mods. When I remove one of the coils it is working just fine.

Any way to make this work in dual coil setup?

Does it have hotspots? Do they heat evenly? Is it locked to that ohm load? Does it have a good connection? It's really hard to get a good connection with a big wrap.
Since it's only 0.14ohm I don't see why any mod would kick it unless that's out of it's range.
Yes you can TC and build if it's all Stainless 316/316l or whatever your mod uses.
If all the things I listed idk what it could be. I ran alot of aliens and staples in TC back when I used regulated mods and I never had a problem.

BTW: using a much smaller wrap will get you a much better coil. 36g is usable but 38g and 40g is almost negligible in terms of ramp up.

You sure your using the correct mode......... Ti or Ni TC setting would do that....
Too high a tcr or tfr setting might also.

No hotspots, they glow evenly, resistance is locked. The screws are as tight as they can be. I will try to play with the screws a bit.

I know that 36g is too much but it is premade coil from Geek Vape. I dont have the time to build anymore.

The mods are Pico, Rx Gen3 and VTC Mini.

The tanks are - Velocity RDA and TFV12

I will try on DNA device when I can.

Thanks for the replies.

Again, if I remove one of the coils it works just fine.

EDIT: Just tried the TFV12 on Smok Alien. It is not kicking me out of TC but it is not working great either. On 100 degrees C, it is very warm vapor.

Never had a Pico or the new Gen3 but with most of my Wismec mods and the VTC mini I use to have it was hit or miss when using TC on a RTA or RDA with SS316 coils. Never had much of a problem with most subtanks with TC on those mods aside from the TC just being ok to not good. But rebuildables played havoc with TC for some reason so I stopped using them in TC and just used them as power mode mods.

Usually the problem stems from the 510 not making consistent connection and when it reads a off resistance it kicks you out of TC and back into power. It was just plain annoying and not worth the trouble to try and get TC to work on those mods when using a rebuildable.

Yes but with Micro coil it is not giving me any errors. Only when I have big coils. Even with triple micro coil it is working just fine.

How can I improve the connection on exotic coils. Crimping the end leads really hard with pliers?

My problem was with big dual coils too, simple builds seemed to work OK. It has been awhile since I have given up trying to use TC on wismec mods, sorry I cannot be of help there. I think the vast majority has given up on a consistent TC vape with those mods as well, too hit or miss.

Do you have any normal fused clapton like 26/36? That would perform much better. Staggered fused clapton vapes pretty much the same as normal fused clapton.

Still other than a bad connection I can't imagine why one would work but two won't.

I am pretty sure I saw @SirRichardRear post about why the board on Wismec mods pop you out of TC so easily, hopefully he can chime in.
