Some e-juices suited better for a tank/RDA?

In my vaping journey I'm finding that if I'm not too fond of a juice in my RDA it ends up being much better in a tank. I wonder why that is..Or sometimes if it's good in a tank it's even better in my RDA. I don't think there's any rhyme or reason to this madness. It's just a little strange. What are your thoughts on the subject?

I'm looking for a sweet vanilla for a tank.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Tank vs dripper not as far as flavors go.. Although build and vape style or power can dictate PG VG and Nic levels.

I had same issue/thought a few months ago. Still analyzing my setup to figure it out and so far all theories I come up with I find flaws. Example would be a juice that tasted great in a Kanger top tank with RBA plus head (2.5 dia coil, 28g ss316L, 6 wraps). Tried same juice in my Griff 25 plus, OBS Eng RTA, Griff 22, ammit, tsunami 22 RDA....and it was not so tasty. Note same wick style in all builds (Scottish Wick), as well as coil build just for consistent testing. Doesn't make proper sense to me since all other juices taste better in my Ammit, or Griff's....except for that one particular store bought one. All my home brews taste better in my Ammit and griffs and juice is always 70/30 6mg. My Kanger has widened juice ports on RBA so it wicks faster. The store bought one was a rare treat and it doesn't list the PG/VG ratio. It's not max VG, consistency seems around 70/30.

Only major difference between the Kanger RBA and the other tanks is the extreme short distance between the coil and the juice ports.

Do you notice better flavor on some tanks that have shorter wick paths?

Sorry...I work in IT so get paid to be overly analytical! If you didn't fall asleep after reading the post, let me know your thoughts as I am still testing my setup in search of the answer. Forgot to note, I used same mod and wattage for tests...Sigelei 100+ at 20 watts.

I only have one tank and two RDA's. But they're all totally different from each other as well..flavor varies from each..I can't figure it out for the life of me. lol

I am probably way to overanalyzing it as usual. I will say that I read on VU forums about the longer narrower drip tips being more flavorful. I did buy a really long neck drip tip to test with and it made the Kanger taste better. I don't use it really cause it's just too ridiculous looking and tall to carry around.
But for the tank tests, perhaps I should have used the same drip tip for all tanks...I did not take that into consideration at the time.

I'm the exact opposite, I much prefer the flavor from my favorite RDA's. I think that has a lot to do with airflow and coil placement.

When using a tank you have a consistent saturation of the coil so that can account for a difference in taste since with a dripper you must keep it properly saturated. Just my opinion and not based on scientific factual data.

You should try Trinity Glass nip tips. Little pricey, but worth every penny.

I don't know why or care why. All I know is 2 of my favorite juices will not hold up in any tank I own, yet are great in rda. Kinda bummer for me. Only drip in spurts.

I think it all depends on what the person that developed the juice used. If they developed the juice using an RDA it tastes better on an RDA and likewise for tank.

Imgo i can always find the sweet spot easier with an rda than a tank. 1st i fiddle with power, then try a or tighter/looser wicking, finally I go with a diffrent coil. Recent example: the new Directors cut called "The lost one" blue rasberry/sweet tart. Went through my process with basic FC 26/40n80 in goon 1.5 and felt like I was missing something. Whipped up a set of 14p/42g n80Staples upped the power and boom! More flavor came outa that goon than I ever expected. I cant find any rhyme or reason to it. You just have to experiment alot i guess and thats all the fun!
