Hey guys!

It looks like the vast majority of vapers do not care about the loud "swoooosh" sound when you are vaping. But it really bothers me. My girlfriend is annoyed by it aswell and my coworkers make darth vader jokes. :p

Ive been vaping for 3 years now and back then when i vaped MTL on my Kayfuns the noise was no problem at all. But i finally came to DL and cant go back now. Even tho i only vape single coil and around 30 Watts.

When i found the Limitless/Combo RDTAs i thought i finally found a nice middle between nice vape and bearable noise. However, i never got a leakfree setup when the Atomizer is lying on the side for long periods of time...

So far my observation is that RDAs in general.. are much more silent. Not only that, the sound they make is much more pleasant than RTAs. Its generally a much deeper and subtle "swoosh". Im not pulling very hard btw. A nice relaxed pull. But i still like an airy draw.

Now it comes down to two options.
1. I use a squonker and find a nice single coil BF RDA or
2. i find an RTA which has the "sound" of an RDA.

The Tanks i have tested so far are :
- Subtank Mini
- Ijust S (i know its not an RTA)
- Serpent mini (this one is the loudest)

Those are all too loud (in my opinion).

Can anybody suggest an RTA which is very quiet ? Im especially interested in experience with newer devices like the Griffin25/ Eagle/Ammit, Ijoy EXO etc. compared to RDAs

Thanks for the help guys!

I have the original ammit, not the larger 25mm. There's decent airflow for a single coil but it's still a restricted lung hit. More open than the bachelor. Most of the time it's a subtle swoosh especially if not pulling hard on it. Maybe not quite as 'swooshy' as an rda. Every now and then it whistles which sucks, it's pretty rare though.

Can you live with the sound of the squonk? My Hadaly RDA is damn near silent. I've never had a RTA that didn't make some kind of noise but that might be due to my shit building.

The Vandy Vape Kylin is fairly quiet, with the volume increasing, but not changing, with a harder pull.

The Geek Vape Ammit Dual-Coil is also fairly subdued, but if you pull really hard, you can sometimes cause it to whistle.

Cheers,

The Serpent line is pretty loud... There are plenty of less noisy RTA's... I'm getting a squonker myself though... Reading the forum on here convinced me ;)

My aromamizer plus is pretty damn quiet compared to other RTAs that I have, it's a 30mm RTA so not sure if that's too big for. If it is I heard that the new aromamizer supreme is pretty much the same tank but at 25mm. The aromamizer plus has a honey combed airflow slot which IMO makes it a much smoother as well as a much quieter draw. This tank is also just an amazing all around RTA, it has great build quality, awesome flavor, and is really versatile. It can hold anywhere from 5ml-20ml depending on the glass u put on it not to mention u can also use it as a dripper if u want to as well.

I'd give her all the quiet time she needs, as she watches the tail lights get smaller and smaller
