Coil core: Kanthal or Ni80

First off the bat, I'm sorry if this topic has been already asked. Feel free to link me the previous thread. And sorry from the grammar mistakes.

I've been meaning to make exotic coils for some time now but I don't know which core wire to choose (kanthal or Ni80) and gauge for fast ramp up time, flavor, vapor, longevity.

I'm choosing between 24g or 26g, kanthal or Ni80.

I'm pretty much fixed on my outer wire (Ni80 34g) since this is the only higher gauge wire I can get my hands on.

TL;DR
Which core wire to choose from 24g-26g, kanthal or Ni80 for ramp up time, flavor, vapor, longevity, etc.

If you're using a regulated mod get A1 because the parallel runs will put you under 0.1 really fast with n80. If you're using mechs get n80 because A1 won't heat fast enough.

24g isn't worth buying for exotic stuff.
If you can get 36g fuse, your builds will be that much better. 34g and bigger takes a tole on your ramp speed and the temp of your vape. Plus it's harder to alien 34g.

N80 will be faster and have more surface area per ohm.

N80 will be easier to damage rewicking and such.. but IMO better flavor potential. Clouds meh type of wire doesn't really apply here.

What about the core gauge? 24 or 26?

I would say opt for 26g/28g for your core and 34g and higher for your wrap wire. Thicker gauges will be easier to use for building but thinner gauges heat faster. With exotic wires I would say that's necessary to get everything up to temperature quickly. No one wants to be sucking on a mod 5 secs for a decent whiff like

Right, you really need that fast ramp up to make something you enjoy.
36g and 26g are the two main wires you'll want. 36g isn't so thick you'll need alot of tension to fuse it. That's great because that tension from the spool means you'll need to pull the drill harder which will ruin your swivels. The tension from the spool will give you twist and so will pulling the drill.
26g or 28g is great because you can use either gauge to build almost anything. If you're using a regulated mod I'd opt for 28g n80/A1 or 26g n80/A1. If you plan on making aliens for a mech get n80. While you can use n80, A1 or SS on regulated mods it's in your best interest to get something with a higher resistance so you're not in any danger of coming out too low (which isn't hard to do).

1000' of 36g and 100' of 26g or 28g would be what I'd get if I could only pick two spools and wanted it to be as cheap as possible.

Where do you live?

I actually live in the Philippines. Getting spools of 32/34g is a little bit hard but can be manage. But 36g and up would be really hard. And they only offer it by the kilo. I'm planning on getting 65grams (around 950ft) of 34g Ni80 just to practice around.

I'm actually running a single battery mech so I'll probably get some Ni80 core but I'm planning on selling wires if I do get pretty decent wire build.

How fast do you guys think I'll burn that 950ft of 34g? (Assuming I don't mess that much).

Planning on making alien Clapton and staggered fused Clapton.

Do you have Facebook or IG? I have a friend that lives there that also builds. He has a 3rd party receive his US orders and ship them to him to get around customs. I'll ask him to help.

That should last a little while I'd say

What's his name? I'm not that really into making it a business. Probably just sell some wires to compensate the expenses I've made and get a little cash on the side.

My fb is pretty much a barren land as I don't really use social medias. But I'm on messenger pretty much. He can search for Mark Cyril Orcullo

He's not making it a business either. That's just the best way he can get wire sometimes. I'll tell him when I get off work to look you up.

Thanks for replies and information you gave me guys. Maybe I'll post my wires/coils sometime in the future in the post your build sticky thread once I get a new drill (old drill's battery are missing)
