Hey all,
My mod as of now is a stacked broadside. However, every time I polish it, within a day it's back to the way it is. Does anyone have some pointers they can give me to keep it polished longer?

what are you using to polish it now.
I start with a brillo pad, (the steel wool soap pads) I rinse off the soap and use Turtle Wax brand All metal polish, and I use a microfiber cloth you'd find in the automotive section at Walmart. I think they call them mother's rags? They're pretty big.

I use only Cape Cod polishing cloths, and the type of microfiber towels that you normally use to polish your car. The Cape Cod adds an invisible layer of protective coating that keeps the brass shiny for far longer than other polishing products do─it really does work, and also it smells nice so that's it... it's a thing. :)

I'll have to look into those. About how much longer would you say it lasts?

This might work as well.. after cleaning, rub it well with some waxed paper. It is what we used on metal fixtures in the clothing store I worked at. Washing your hands well before handling should help.

I use Mother's Polish with a fine microfiber cloth to do the polishing, use a second cloth to finish getting the residue off on my Naval Brass Cartel. After that I use Turtle Wax paste waxing compound to help bring the shine out further, this also adds a layer of wax against the salt and oil of your sweat, lasts about a week at most, though it does make the mod slick and slippery as heck. Without Ceramic Coating the mod, there really isn't much you can do to stop the patina of copper mods, and being brass is copper and tin alloy, suffers from copper's tendency to patina quickly as well especially when constantly exposed to salt and sweat oils all day long from your hands.

Almost twice as long. And no, after the polishing job is done it doesn't make the mod feel like there is a layer on it, nor does it make the mod slippery... I wouldn't want any of that shit to happen to my five Purge Mods (Maelstrom brass, Serenity brass, Suicide King Diamond brass, Blood Stain brass, and Karma brass).
