CIGABUY review... The worst of China

I had never used this vendor before I ordered a GTRS 150 from them. I paid for UPS shipping and it got here quickly. The problem is, the mod appears to have a defective charging system.

When plugged in, my GTRS 150 charges as expected until it reaches 91 or 92%, then it drops back to 82% and won't go any higher.
Okay stuff happens I guess... but this is where a good vendor is different from a dishonest one...

I've written email after email and CIGABUY has done nothing but give me the classic Chinese run-around.

So I sent em this....
It turns out I am not able to take a movie of this defect (which is a battery not charging)
I need you to accept my word on this until you get your item back, then you can see for yourself.
You sent me a defective mod. Now I want my money back... PERIOD.
Please refund my credit card immediately and email me a return shipping label.
Please do not stall on this or continue asking me to do things.
Put my money back on my credit card or I will be forced to dispute this charge with my bank.

And it goes on and on like this until they simply stop responding...

I think the mod is genuine but it's a defect.
This vendor should not to be trusted, unless you don't mind getting a broken mod that is impossible to return.
Saame old dishonest return strategy... keep stalling until you get too worn down to complain anymore.
Say GOODBYE to CIGABUY... Crap vendor of the year. :kickbutt:

Now I have to cancel the charge through my bank. Sigh...

PS... I'm not too impressed with the GTRS mod either in case anybody's wondering...
I can't believe they're coming out with a DNA mod...

It truly is Caveat Emptor. We can't expect them to go by the standards we expect. In return, we get good prices for the things that do work.

That I don't know. I honestly haven't had that many defective mods. I don't order from China much though.

All my email correspondence with CigaBuy is from TinyDeal.com. So I guess these 2 are the twin shitties right now.

CigaBuy has simply stopped responding to emails. When stalling fails... put em on ignore.:gaah:

I'm 3 weeks into this CigaBuy bullshit... :(
I just disputed the charge through PayPal. We'll see what happens...

Never again... TinyDeal/Cigabuy.

I am really glad to know this, well, not that I'm glad you're having such issues, but i was going to order from them since they have some great prices, but I think I'll pay a few dollars more and order from FastTech. They are a good Chinese vendor and they have always made responded and made good on any issues and I've had no problems with them. I just hate paying $8 more for a battery charger, but it would be full retail price at Gear Best, which is also another great Chinese shop. But if you have any issues with them, they do not return money buy give you a store credit. Fast Tech gives you a choice of getting your hard earned cash back. Thanks for letting us know. Much appreciated.

Fast Tech is great for replacing and correcting issues. They reimburse your cash. Gear Best also makes good if something is bad, but you get store credit. I hardly order anymore since I can find better deals in the U.S. Recently I was looking at the ProColor and T-Priv and they are $20 cheaper here! I started going to cheap vaping deals website for better prices. And it's much faster!

It took a month and a half and it might take another month to actually receive the refund, :eek:
but I'm happy with the decision.

My experience with a Chinese Vendor and just a cosmetic defect was 100% positive. For whatever reason they needed a Video to show a cosmetic defect in the display so I made a video and submitted it which was so large I could not email it and had to send a link to Google Drive. Once they viewed the VIDEO 3 days later I had a new MOD VIA DHL shipping and was not required to send back the old 1st one.

i have used tinydeal ( cigabuys parent comany ) for many years
i stopped for a long time because of bad ( nil ) customer guarantee service

i would expect they have not changed ..
lately i have bought juice from both and a mod from tinydeal ( x-priv )

as long as it arrives ok ... thats the best you will get
if something goes wrong you may get something back .. but from my experience its unlikely

im up as far as the losses to savings equation goes .. but i only use them as a last resort

I politely visit your sale page occasionally to warn people about your dishonest return practices.
You should treat your customers better. Word gets around if you don't.

I have the best experience with Cigabuy and Pearl, every package is safely packed, communication is excellent and customer support responsiveness is awesome. Maybe support was bad some time ago but now I really don't have anything complain about, give Cigabuy another chance and for everything else contact Pearl directly, I guarantee you that you will be satisfied and well served.

I was thinkin about ordering there but never have. I've used Fasttech the most followed by SourceMore, and Heaven Gifts. Any other Chinese sites I may have ordered from were single time orders. The other 3 companies I've mentioned have been good. They package things really well for the long haul. I've never recieved the wrong item or defective items. I have contacted both HG and FT with inquiries and they were quick to reply. This thread is pretty old. Hopefully they've gotten better. Customers hate jumping through hoops and getting the runaround when somethings wrong.
