Clear vapor?

Ive been seeing a lot of places ban vaping, likely because of the clouds.. im wondering if its possible to create clear vapor? seems like it would be basic chemistry but i dont know.. would this be harmful? possible? good idea? what do you all think?

Interesting idea. The problem is when the vapor is clear it's not very concentrated therefore you don't get much of a good hit. You can tone down the voltage/wattage to get a "Stealth" hit, also holding it in your lungs longer you exhale less of a cloud. Look up stealth vaping.

i was thinking more along the lines of actually changing the compound that makes the vapor white & smoke like.. i know this gets into adding compounds and wouldn't be worth it if it was bad for you.. but something like this could really separate vaping from everything else "smoke like" in public as the industry continues to grow. maybe something along the lines of food coloring except for vapor

I've wondered this also and i don't think it's feasible. In fact it is most likely straight-up impossible. The problem is that a lot of juice is already uncolored. That is, take the clearest juice you can think of and vape it - and watch the cloud of vapor you exhale remain just as visible. That vapor is made out of lots and lots of microscopically tiny droplets of liquid (mostly water i assume?), which are all going to have a microscopic refractive/reflective effect on the light which allows us to see. The clearest possible vapor cloud is still going to be visible, because it is vapor - it is a physical substance which necessarily interferes with light.

I'm sure somebody with a much more technical knowledge of physics or optics could explain that vastly better than i could.

When i'm at work, where vaping is expressly verboten, i stealth vape by holding it in as much as i can.
