He makes some very good recipes. I've tried most of them and some of them are excellent. I love Rhodonite and make it 120ml at a time, which I don't do with many others. His website is pretty interesting.

The best advise I got from him was to massively reduce flavours as they will blend into one at high percentages which seems to have been the case with me.. also cold steeping and not hot steeping as I had seen in many other YouTube videos

That being said, check out HeadInClouds here on these boards. I know what most of Wayne's recipes are mixed at and they're high compared to HIC. Of course, Wayne uses flavors from everywhere, while HIC loves FA flavors which tend to be stronger than most others. You can't go wrong learning from HIC as well.

I love reading his recipes. Never watched his vids. I'm a major raspberry fan so I bought a 30ml Rhodonite Concentrate. Yuk! Then I mixed his Strawberry Cheesecake. Double yuk! I guess it's official. My tastebuds are FUBAR. :giggle:

Rhodonite uses Inawera Raspberry Malina. It's powerful and can be a bit overwhelming. I find I go in cycles with it, I can vape it for a week then I need to give it a week or two break.

No, not just yours. He does help a lot of people, I just wasn't big on the ones I did try.

I've gotten everything I know about vaping from the internet. Most of it was free. I feel at some point, I should pay for some of it. I'm a professional and I certainly don't give away a whole lot when it comes to work. Yet so many have done so much work to have gotten vaping to the point it is now.

I've subscribed to Wayne's site. It costs me $3 dollars a month. I throw away 5 times that every month in juice I don't like. I believe Wayne is a great advocate for the vaping industry, he's got a public presence and he cares deeply about the industry. In addition, he does lots of reviews on flavors and other things. I've learned a lot about flavors and how to work with them from him.

I've contributed to this forum, which I use constantly. I've contributed to ELR where I store my recipes, so I'm constantly using it as well. I've bought a number of recipes from HIC, yet for every one I've bought he's given 3-4 more for free. When I total what I've spent, it's peanuts. The education and help I've received from all of the above, and others, massively outweighs the dollars I've spent. The internet may be free, but people's time and effort isn't. For some fucked up reason, we think we should get everything for free on the net, yet no one thinks that way when they walk out their door everyday.

I just stumbled upon his site this week. There is a wealth of info available for new mixers like myself.

Indeed, probably more free info regarding mixing than you'll find anywhere.

Personally, I think the $3 per month for DIYORDIE is minimal for what you get. It's not only access to certain recipes, but there are flavor notes, podcasts, articles, files sent to my inbox every month - just a wellspring of information. And I don't hesitate to pay $3-$5 for HIC's recipes. But to each his own, I just appreciate having "insider info" and hard copy for everything.

I've mixed many of Wayne's recipies. Overall his recipies are outstanding. I will say though that some of his individual percentages in each recipe, often his fruits, are far above what my taste buds enjoy. I usually have to reduce them by half to get to a balanced flavor. Obviously, as is repeated so many times here, taste is subjective. Because of this, I'll never buy any oneshots, his or anyone elses. At the same time though, I'll never not give them a try, knowing that just a bit of tweeking will usually get me a wonderful skillfully krafted ejuice..

That's a foundation statement of DIY. I've mixed a couple of his that made me tilt my head and squint...lol! Rhodonite and Cuprian were two of those, didn't care for them at all, and absolutely hated Bronuts. But there are also thousands of others who disagree with me and love them. It's all about the taste buds and personal preference. His Misty is one of my favorite vapes, I keep a 300ml bottle mixed up. If you haven't tried Pillow Talk, it's outstanding. And it's hard to keep his Clapton Crunch mixed up, all my vaping friends at work love it.

Rhodonite, much better with half the Raspberry. Funfetti was...fun, but not something I'd make over and over. Triple C's is great, as is Pistachio RY4U. There's been more misses than hits though with Wayne's recipes. I think some of his stuff is way more complex than it needs to be (he refers to this as "layering", I believe).

I do like some of his commentary. He's very well read in many things DIY, and I heartily thank him for educating me about the difference between sucralose and ethyl maltol. But Wayne is, as are all high profile DIYer-slash-Youtubers, prone to be a bullshitter at times. When I watch him discussing the intricate, minute differences between CAP and TFA Sweet Cream for 10 minutes, I end up asking myself how much of it is just him making shit up because it plays well to an audience.
