What The Hell Is Going On Here? Whiskey Banned?

It has come to my attention through email that a very beloved member of this forum has been banned for no apparent reason. Whiskey, who had an extremely popular Corner thread and has been a member of this forum for over 3 years has now been banned. I have checked with other members that I am close with and there was no vote as well as any consensus among the moderators. Is this place just going to turn into ECF? I thought this place was all about freedom of speech? How is it that somebody gets banned without any warnings yet other members who consistently broke the rules and were banned are let back in? This is absolutely ridiculous. I hope other people join me in this thread and express their displeasure because that seems to be the only way to get things changed around here. If this place truly is about freedom of speech then why have certain links been banned as well? It just seems to me like the moderator team has lost their way and become completely unhinged. I have noticed a severe slowdown in traffic lately and I myself do not enjoy this forum as much as I used to. I blame that on the poor management of this forum. That responsibility sits squarely on the shoulders of the moderators and they have not taken it seriously at all. To ban a founding member that has over 51k posts and over 125k likes without any moderator consensus or any warning just shows the road this forum is heading down. Right now you can chalk me up as totally disgusted with this place.

I don't know what happened, but personally, I think a lot of the slowdown can be blamed on the extreme amount of vendor spam we've been experiencing. I know it's definitely made me loathe to visit as much as I was.

Is there some part of "I don't know what happened" that you are unclear about? Here, let me be more clear for the reading-impaired: I was addressing SirRichard's comment about the slowdown in traffic, not implying in my ever-so-subtle manner that Whiskey was banned for vendor spam. Cripes. Is that clear enough for you to grawk now?

Look I'm not going to defend my opinion here. I do post in non vaping a lot. With people that I've become good friends with over the years because of vaping. Many of the posts are actually vaping related but not in a specific thread. All I was trying to say is it takes a special person to get banned from every forum they've ever joined except the one they created. If time after time the same person gets banned for the same old shit, maybe they should take a look at themselves in the mirror before pointing fingers

Ha, ha, ha...Im not reading impaired. To clarify my thought on any forum, as in any other disagreement with another human being, is to be respectful, listen and not launch personal attacks when in disagreement. I personally do not care for spam, and feel that trying to sell product while conversations are being held is rude.

for someone who prostitutes for shitty gear apparently, I sure spent a hell of a lot more then you on it and used that info to help others. You would know it if you spent some time in the actual vaping sections of the forums since you know it is a vaping forum and all

Frankly, forums have always shown a significant slowdown in summer months - and are on the decline generally, mainly due to Facebook

Not saying it applies in this case, none of my business, but another forum for another hobby I'm a member of sometimes ppl ask to be banned(also there is a ban lottery, if you win you are banned for a week) for some time off without being tempted to hang out on the forum all day.

I never had a problem with whiskey, other than all the meme post. Don't know if she was banned, dont frankly care. Seems like every time we get up in arms over a banning, the story comes out and the person was banned legitimately. And then they usually come back.

What's all this stuff about helping new vapors? I didn't know that was a requirement.
