Nothing wrong with complex mixes and flavor layering!
Have you mixed this and tried it? The tweaking, if necessary, is completely up to you and your taste buds. If you like it, it's good.

Well this is my first recipe that came about through a bit reading and taking notes on DIY reddit and here about flavours, layers and notes that mixers use. I haven't tried it yet but on paper, is it doable?

My "logic"
The Base
I heard lorann cheese cake has a ricotta cheese taste but lacks the outer baked crust so it has been combined with Cap NY CC.
Basically I hate the Graham pepper cinnamon taste and instead want a slight hazelnut accented digestive biscuit cheesecake base. I added a tiny bit Graham clear to crust the biscuit. workable? I also read Hazelnit can brighten up Strawberries too.

For the strawberry, I read that dragonfruit brightens up.strawberries, hence it's inclusion with the strawberry stone.

Finally, for the cream, I wanted something other than Bavarian cream, not too custardy or peppery, creamy or too vanilla so i'm going with a 1.5% Vanilla ice cream(LB), which I hear is a mild vanilla, not too sweet or rich and at low percentages is good as a cream . The .50% FA Meringue fluffs out the cream, adds sweetness and gives the cheesecake body.

Do you think it would work flavour wise and layer wise? Or are there any conflicting flavours that could muddle the taste making it over-bearing. Or any flavour unnecessary? Really appreciate any advice cause on DIY Reddit I would be crucified for using so many ingredients. Realise your mad busy with stuff.

By using the Shisha Strawberry you probably don't need the Dragonfruit IMO.

And you won't really taste any graham unless you use 1-2% or more.
Even then it's iffy cause so many other flavors in there are most likely going to cover it up.

The reason many say to use fewer flavors when starting out is it's easier to make corrections with less flavors involved.
In solving the "what went wrong" problem.

If your using a well liked recipe created by someone else that has many flavors in it, that would be the exception.

Nothing says you can't jump right in though:D.

^^^ Exactly....I personally find that "less is more" most of the time, but I have made juices that required 10+ flavors in very small quantities that were good - but truthfully would have been just as good with only the primary flavors in the mix. I've also found that the more flavors you use causes the mix to require a much longer steep time.
I'm off work tomorrow. I'm gonna mix up your recipe and let it sit for about a week - creams and custards almost always benefit from sitting for a week or two - then I'm gonna come back here and let you know how it goes. You mind?

Thank you so much. Really appreciate it. I think you're absolutely right about " less is more". I'm being impatient and naive by jumping in the deep end. DIY is a craft, and like all crafts, takes time and effort and most of all, patience.

I wouldn't say that either. Impatience and naiveté have led to many a great invention. ;)
And that's part of the fun of all this. I belong to a few DIY Facebook pages and some of those folks really crack me up. Someone will post a recipe; then you have a few folks that comment back that it sounds good or they'll give it a go. Then you have all these self proclaimed juice wizards that start warning of A mixed with B won't work until C modified with the D becomes E after two months steeped in an African crystal urn blessed by a Tahitian monk and then placed on a magnetic stir plate. o_O It's stupid, and yes, I exaggerate, but that's certainly what it sounds like, and I'm just sitting here laughing and thinking "Just mix the damn juice..." You can do whatever you want, experiment, play with it, and if it tastes like dammit, toss it out and do it again until you like it. That's key. Unless you're trying to come up with something to sell to the masses, what you think is all that matters. ;)

You've got two parts, don't you? Try them as such. So, make the base first. Are you getting what you expect, such as the crust flavor. Is the Hazelnut doing what you expect? Even at that level it has a very distinct flavor and it may not be what you expect.

Then do the strawberry part. The Shisha is powerful and very distinct and can overwhelm other berries, even at 2%. Red touch is subtle so is it adding anything at .5%?

The Meringue adds sweetness so that's going to work fine, but you may need more. Try the two parts as stated, then add the Meringue to each part and see the effect on each. It'll most likely be more pronounced on the berries than the base.

As for the ice cream, I'd add it to the base after you've tried the base. I assume you think it'll smooth out the bite of the cheesecake, is that correct? Well, you won't know that until you try the base first then add it.

Once you're happy with parts, then add them. The sum will be greater than the parts though, so you might have to tweak it. But you'll be better able to do so by doing it as suggested.

Excellent advice. Will do a layer test first. Thanks a mill for the advice and encouragement.

Couldn't stop laughing at your Africa analogy. Some people are too precious alright. Really appreciate the advice and encouragment from you guys. Will have to get down to it and simply mix, miss up and learn
