So I own the eleaf istick pico 75w starter kit and the stick v8 baby kit. I was washing and letting my tfv8 baby tank soak in the water all taken apart. Now, I've always thought of tanks as "waterproof" just as long as you completely dry the tank before you screw it back on your mod. So that's exactly what I did after washing it, letting it soak and drying it out. I have tried two coils now but when I try either of them on either mod the two kits give me the "check atomizer" warning with both of the coils. Has this ever happened to anyone else?

I was washing the tank out because I somehow managed to drop the tank in the toilet(don't ask). Could it be the grimy toilet water that killed it i mean the toilet was flushed and everything the water was clear but you know. Got my mod to fire at least once before it gave me the shorting errors

You might have moved or bent your center pin or insulator from the fall, causing a short.

Might be fixable. Does your mod read a resistance for the tank at all?

Is your center pin (positive contact) visibly contacting the outside threaded portion (negative contact) of the 510?

Is your center pin protruding past the threaded portion?

So it's not because of the water ( especially the toilet water) it's acting like that? It does look a little bent and doesn't protrude out as far as it used to

Tanks can absolutely get wet without any harm.

You either:
Still have water between the center pin and negative portion of the 510, causing a short. Maybe focus a hairdryer on this area to ensure it is dry.

Or

Have pushed your floating center pin in so it is recessed from the negative. Could try to GENTLY manipulate it downward from the top of the base so it protrudes.

Or

You bent your center pin or damaged your insulator. IMHO not really a replaceable part for a tank with a floating center pin. If this is the case, I would personally get a new tank.

Well that makes me feel better that the toilet water wasn't the cause, because I thought it was because I simply dropped it in the toilet water
