i am new to this forum and basically let me tell u first i am a beginner and have been using kangertech subox mini c for about two month or so and well m not satisfied with this device. it gets heat-up real quick. the drip tip i cant change it and it hurts really bad after 2-3 long puffs. m a chain vaper so a single 18650 doesnt give me much time to vape that much. i have to keep my power bank with me all the time and this vape keeps my powerbank busy most of the time trust me.
so i am planning to switch to bit advanced mods and i have few mods in mind that includes
Smok Alien 220w tc
vaporesso Revenger
joytech cuboid 150w
joytech cuboid 228w

well you guys here know better than me about mods and tanks and i just wanted to know your suggestions despite of mods i mentioned above. i will be really thankful to you guys

Along with your mod, make sure to pick up some good 18650 batteries, (Sony, Samsung, LG, Sanyo) and a stand alone charger (nitecore, etc...) Learn about battery safety would be a good idea also. I would suggest a kit, like the Alien/Big Baby Beast tank, T Priv/ BBB kit, or the Procolor/BBB from Smok. All under $65.00 US, and would give you solid performance with some nice color options. Good luck, and welcome to VU.

Depending on your budget and if you really want to make an investment in quality devices, there are a ton of choices out there. I would suggest checking out the first few pages of 3fvape.com tc mods section and find one that catches your interest. Then go to youtube, and watch some reviews to get an idea of how they perform, the features, etc. Then you can always come back here and ask for some feedback. I personally have 2 Smok Aliens that have worked flawlessly for almost a year now. It is the mod I would personally recommend for someone looking to upgrade from a starter set up.

alright i am gonna check it out... but can u kindly tell me about the battery timing in smok alien? like if i stick 2 3000mah 40a AWT 18650 battries into the device, if i chain vape (like i used do to) will it last long?

I would personally stay away from smok. I own couple smok devices as well, there's nothing but issues with them, from chipping paint to stuck or faulty 510 connectors, all the way to horrible coil prices and lifetime if you chose to pick a tank made by smok on top of that. The list goes on and on, and their warranty department is absolute horrible, in fact walmarts shit ass customer service department is offering in comparison to smok outstanding service, and that's sad in reality. You pay for the brand name and in a lot of cases that's three times more, than the money you could invest for something better or less frustrating.

Joytech mods have their issues as well, but in a different way, I yet would pick it over smok. Out of the list you're providing in your first post, it would be the revenger. But that's my personal opinion, at the end of the day its still your decision. Looking at some reviews is never a bad idea either.

To your battery question, this would depend on the Atty and temperature/watt vaped at, as well as puff length etc. For example, I could walk a whole day with a single battery mod, vaped @35w or lower, or could run with my 2 and 3 battery mods for 2-5 hours vaped at 90w and up, because the drainage and liquid consumption becomes a whole other game lol.
Just the fact that you're saying chain vaping isn't going to be the only factor that plays a role here. Basic answer I would give is this, if you're vaping at above 40w or 200c if in tc mode, chain vaping or running a Rba/RTA/RDTA, grab 2 extra batteries when not at home because you'll need them.

thanks for your reply bro.... well yeah i heard many negative reviews on smok mods.. i was also thinking of vaporesso revenger... since cuboid has 510 connection issue, you have it and you know about it better than i do. what do you say about Revenger?

and for battery concern, (clears my throat).. i own kangertech subox mini c with single 18650 battery and i usually vape on 50 watts. it gets heatup real quick like on a single puff for 3 seconds and thats what making a issue. for my next mod, i am planning to vape at 60 - 70watt max and not more than that. i do chain vape for 3 seconds for a single puff. (i am not into temperature control right now since m new to vaping and my current mod doesnt offer me that information though)... so do i need to carry more 2 extra batteries with me? or i am good to go with the batteries that will be inside the mod?

i have been vaping for a few yr and have used al 85 baby....whick i did like but didnt last more than six months is that normal? i then purchased the smok g80 and oh my god i would not recommend! mine fell apart and started on fire and i had not even had it 2 months....i have looked into going back to al85 but also looked at the other smok that is low wattage...if you buy a high watt mod does that mean it should be run on the higher end because i tend to stay in the 30's w range!!!

I would recommend the Smoant Charon, or the Voopoo Drag can't go wrong with both of those, they are basically the same in performance, comes down to the looks, and what mode you'll use the most, for wattage I'd say the Smoant, for TC probably the Voopoo drag. Smok products are kinda a hit or miss you can get a really good one, or one that'll break in a month. (my opinion)

Take a look at the SMOK kits, they are quite solid devices and aren't too expensive. I would advise that you get these kits as they include a tank as well which is pretty good. I would also recommend that you get your device from a reputable vendor so should anything go wrong, the vendor will replace your unit (read their warranty policies). So far with the SMOK devices I have used, I have never had any issues at all other than paint chipping on my Alien which I think is now fixed. My H-Priv, T-Priv, OSUB King, GX2/4 and pen ones are still working 100% with no issues at all. The paint work on these are still holding up well and the performance is still good. The TFV8 is a pretty good sub ohm tank so you'll be fine with it. I highly recommend checking out their kits as they include all you need in 1 package.

well i live in pakistan and here its really difficult to claim warranty tbh. i get it on my own risk and use it, if i find it faulty one and realize that after about 2 days of use i cant claim it. so thats a problem bro.... i respect smok i like smok i like how much it creates hype but along with the positive comments there are equally negative comments out there. Although they are subjective since there is not solid con except the paint job.

If it were me I would look into sigelei mods and tanks or possibly an Aspire cleito tank and sigelei mod. I use a sigelei 95w classic mod with the cleito tank vaping at 60 watts on a .2 coil. The battery life I get is decent but I do keep one or two charged batteries with me at all times. I started with smok products but frankly they suck and I am talking both the tanks and the mods.

I do like the Vaporesso Revenger kit, the problem I have with it is that it's tippy and falls over sometimes. A lady who works at my local vape shop knocked hers over at least 3 times on the counter while I has hanging out. I also like the NRG tank that comes with that kit, but again the base is kinda small and seems to be a little unstable, imo, but she swears by it.

yeah sigelei design decent mods ( i have knowledge from the reviews i read. never tried or seen any of em practically). the mod you mentioned bro its umm single battery 26650 mod. i am using kangertech ( total piece of crap, i really dont like to insult any brand or their product this openly but the one i have has 50 watt range and what? i cant vape at 50 watt!! its drip tip (that cannot be replaced or removed) burn the shit out of my lips !!! i just dont get the idea is it just me or everyone else who uses this mod have this kind of issue.

The reason i want to go for 200+ mods are basically for 2 reasons. The first reason is absolutely they support 2 batteries ( although mods like cuboid provides 2 batteries support for 150 watts mod but that does not have strong pros according to the reviews i have heard as 510 connection issue). the second reason is actually temperature. if i use 220w mod at 60 watt it will not get heatup that much...

If you bump the table, or set it down wrong, it falls over easily. Not a deal breaker, just need to be a little careful you don't knock it over.

ooh alright. except that issue, ( i knw this is subjective question) but do u prefer Revenger over T-priv or Alien or Predator?

Yeah i heard the Revenger is pretty good, the chip they use is awesome but menu is kinda tricky to use. If i had to choose the T-priv or Alien I'd go with the T-priv. Now for the Revenger vs the Predator i would say Revenger. :)

I personally like the Alien kit (with the Baby Beast tank) due to the reasonable price, solid performance, and multiple color options. The menu is intuitive and easy to use. I like the Sigelei Kaos for the same reasons, but it is the mod only and you have to buy a tank separately. Other dual 18650 devices you might consider are the Smoant Battlestar, Smoant Charon, Voopoo Drag, Smok Procolor. All in the $50.00 USD range without the tank. Ton of choices out there, so good luck and let us know what you end up with.

Well ... a question like this will get and endless stream of answers :) everyone has their faves. Me personally these days I’m rocking a battlestar with an icon rda at home and a tfv8-x baby on the go. Great mod for sub-ohms and well priced.

You gotta experiment ‘till you find the right setup for you. Vaping is very personal.

Good luck!

Smok ProColors are really nice, I love mine along with my Smok Cloud Beast King on top. Replaceable drip tip, and longer lasting coils than other Smok tanks.
