So since the cloud comp last night at ecigcity4 last night I hit a few atty's that have the holes drilled out kinda like this picture below, but i wanna do it on my Tobh to get maximum air flow for my .25ohm builds and below, what do you guys and gals think, if its a good idea and how many holes i should drill out? let me know what you think. Thank You

I'm thinking about doing the same. Curious why people have to say. I think cloud chasers inc sells caps with different numbers of holes for different ohms ranges. You could check their site out to give you an idea.

Drill a Tobh out? You must have incredible lungs. I am going to buy a few more mechanical Mods. Can anyone Honestly tell me if copper makes that big of a difference. I know the electric properties are better, but copper tarnishes & I hate polishing small stuff. My motorcycles give me all the enjoyment I need.

Well I think copper mods do hit a tad bit hard if you keep them clean as well as keep you contact clean too, but if you get a copper mod and want to still have the shine ide recommend a clear wrap for you device.

I just got a black copper stingray and I love it. Hits way harder than my other mechs. I thought copper mods were a little overhyped until I actually tried one. Also great that there's little to no tarnishing issue due to the black coating. The buttons real finicky though.

Ive seen that same pattern several times, I would think that to be a great starting point. Just remember, you're working with metal, so whatever you do.. is kinda permanent. Make sure you have the right tools, and remember.. SAFETY FIRST.

I did it on my black and copper tobh's. The black one came out better and i did that one first. 1/16" bit seems to match the stock 6 holes. I started by adding 3 more on each side and ended up adding 3 additional holes on each side. So i have 9 total on each side. Perfect vape for my .2~.09ohm builds. In hindsight i should have staggered them a bit more but no complaints. A bit tedious to line everything up though.

Did you use a drill? If I dont have a drill press can I drill out holes with a normal drill? Do I just get a drill bit and go at it? I also have a small dremel if that helps.

I used a drill press and vice, you can juat be more precise. This is my rig, i also polish my mods with it too using a dremel bit...

It can be done with a drill, i would highly recommend a vice though, your fingers might too. Ive seen some people come up with some pretty crafty things, as long as your not trying to hold what your trying to drill into in your hand...
But thats what i did, visualize where i want it, then drill away. Just remember whatever you do cant be undone.
Good luck

A center punch might come in handy too.
That way you can use a hammer and make a small dent where each hole is going to be and your drilling will start off more smoothly.

My Tobh only has 1 hole but it works very well.
I also cut the lugs off the deck, sorry for picture quality.

Don't really understand much about copper Atties being better but I do think copper mods make a difference...
I have both the copper and stainless BFM..the copper version has 0v voltage drop ..the stainless version has a .1v voltage drop..both were tested with a fully charged 26650 batt using an inline voltmeter without a Atty attached..just the tube and switch...Not really noticeable between the two until I did the same test with the same .12 ohm Atty attached..the copper mod had a .5v drop firing the coils..the stainless mod had a .7v drop firing the same coils.
This is not a scientific test by no means..both mods hit hard but the copper mod is my favorite between the two...especially for mind-blowin' clouds, lol

Thanks! I put stuff in my pockets wander around the shop & they fall out. (I think it's Gremlin's) S.S. holds up good. Copper dents easy. My 26650's will crank anything that I have ever wanted to vape on. I do have a real Sting Ray copper mod. Got it @ Fast Tech before they figured out how good they are. $9.00 & free shipping. Put a VTC5 in it and it's good to go. The UD IGO-W6 atty on top and it's a cloud machine. Four .22 Kanthal coils glow like X-Mas Lights.

Your welcome saddletramp..I use the copper BFM at home mostly because its polished copper and can scratch easy..but I take the stainless version in my travels in case I drop it getting in out of my truck...I agree, you can't beat stainless for toughness or durability..
