first of all i must say im sorry for repeating something that has likely already been addressed over and over but has anyone tried searching these archives? (especially from a phone as the computing method?)..i did try..but the answer keeps bringing up what the batteries potential to hold is and thats not the question..obviously the larger package has a potential to store more.. but if both batteries rate 3000mah 25amp continuous 50amp pulse is there a difference in performance between 18650 vs 26650.. my aegis (single battery mod) has the option to use prettt much anything up to the 26650 in size.. but it seems that advanced testing shows that even the ijoy26650 is a 3200mah average with a 25cont. average which is about equal to the top 18650 so is there a difference aside from size if all other numbers are the same? i know it seems like a stupid question but it really isnt.. you never really hear the word "sag" when referring to 18650s.. so does that mean they would perform better by themselves? (please dont confuse me by flooding me with info about the use of more than one at a time.. im talking about solo battery performance. sorry for the long post but i keep finding answers to questions im not asking so im trying to be clear.

Well if all the numbers truly are the same, then logically it means the performance must be the same also. But one important part of the problem is the manufacturers don't usually give you the correct numbers... that is why I choose to rely pretty heavily on Mooch's battery testings instead. According to his data, the iJoy 26650 is a 30 amp 4200 mAh battery and also has a voltage sag that's on par with the vast majority of well-performing 18650 batteries. The best performing 25 amp 18650 battery is the VTC5A, it performs absolutely wonderful, and AFAIK right now it is still the only 25 amp 18650 battery out there. But because the iJoy 26650 is 30 amps, not just 25 amps, you'd have to look at 30 amp 18650 batteries to do a fair comparison between it and an 18650. The LG HB6 pink is one particular example of a 30 amp 18650 battery... however, it has only 1500 mAh. Another example is the much newer (as well as better performing) Vapcell Black, which has 1800 mAh, and which hits harder (has less voltage sag than) the VTC5A (but then again, the VTC5A has 2500 mAh so that is why it is so often preferred over a 30 amp 18650).

I gotta say thanks for the response..clarified a few things that were sorta overwhelming me. And the web today takes about two or three times as long to find an up to date answer as it did ten years ago since its becoming progressively clogged with outdated info and the tech. is going full speed the other way.. i find myself much more irritated when im searching for answers than i used to get.. Especially with so many articles and such seem to base their info on sources that base their info on heresay or like you mentioned they base the entire battery review on whats written on the wrap or re-wrapping on the battery.. (a good example).. does anyone know if fasttechs test results are for the most part legit? i did notice they seem upfront when a battery tests much lower than the packaging states...but that could be a tactic designed to steer us into the more expensive battery..
