trying to figure out compatibility with istick

I have an eLeaf iStick 30 watt and i use a aspire nautilus on it.
I just bought an eLeaf iStick power nano 40 watt and it came with a MELO 3 tank,
but i really hate it, it gets really hot and i have to draw on it too long before i get anything and also the mouth peice is too short. I tried my nautilus on it and it works really good, are those meant to be interchangeable ? are the aspire/melo both compatible for all of them on the isticks >??

(I know the coils will not interchange with the two tops they are really different, but the tops will both screw on to each battery.)

also any others i can put on the iStick power nano ?

thanks!!!!

the photo is of the nano i just got and the melo on it.

Hi and welcome to VU.
Might I make a tank suggestion that departs from the manufactured coils with stunning draw, stupid easy to build deck, no leaks and works well on those mods?

Check out the Geekvape Siren 2.
I use RDA almost exclusively and I loathe MTL but the opposite can be said for my 60+ year old mother. I picked her up a siren 2 and when I built and wicked the thing I even enjoyed the vape off of it.
No leaking, cig tight draw and decent flavor and cloud production.

Honestly wish the thing was more complicated.

yes, they are compatible - meaning you can switch the atties around

The only limiting factor on using atties on either mod (iStick) is making sure you only use higher ohm coils, as neither mod is very high-powered

Have been a big fan of the iStick for higher ohm vaping for a few years now

Good luck and welcome to VU!

It should have a standard 510 pin and thread, so yes any atomizer with a 510 will work, within the limitation of your mod. In other words, a Baby Beast will fit, but requires around 70w so it would fit, it just wouldnt perform well. (like a flashlight with weak batteries)

The Melo3 is an OK tank but you may want to try the Aspire Triton 1.8 ohm coils in it.(Yes they fit) They only need about 10 watts for a good vape and should work well with the 40 watt Nano.

EDIT: You can also get a longer drip tip and the one from the Nautilus will fit it.

I started off with a Pico recently,

I found if I'm using a 0.5ohm coil the tank gets quite warm after 5ish mins. Don't really have that problem with the 0.3 coil. For me I find I always have to have the airflow wide open all the time.

I found it a good unit for when I'm at work or out and about but I'm already planning on getting a Stentorian Basilisk for when I'm home.

Just and FYI a tsunami RDA will work on that mod. (actually any rebuildable atomizer with a 510 pin)

28ga nichrome, 4 wraps 3.0 mm id core at 0.35ohm. Mind you it is not a huge build, but would work. This build would give a medium-warm vape.
Im mentioning this to show you can build to the limitations of your mod and by playing around with wire type, gauge and wraps, get the heat flux you want (should be 250 (cool) to 350 (fairly warm) to 400 (very warm) according to the power you have available. It just takes planning ahead and building within your mods limits.
