Just want to pass on a few things that may help beginners in building and wicking.

1-Youtube is your best friend. Every atomizer is different, they have different personalities and each one needs to be built differently. Best starting point IMHO is youtube, look at the videos of those that have already built your atomizer, you'll see how to best wick them and what coils and parameters (coil size, # wraps, etc) work well. Same with wicking, pay close attention. One example, I have a Conqueror atomizer that leaked like a sieve, the build video showed one simple trick how to stop it from leaking and now this monster flavor and cloud maker has been tamed nicely :) There was also a really good post on Reddit on how to fill the Conqueror so it doesn't leak and it really helped stop the massive leaking every time I filled it up.

2-If you have a few attys, it's often hard to keep the build details straight. I keep all the boxes, and now, I have written detailed notes on how to build it and put them in the box to refer to when I do the build. This is one of the best ideas I have come up with.

3-Coil materials are cheap. Personally with two small kids running around I don't have the time nor interest to make my own claptons. ebay, Ali Express, fasttech have great prices on rolls of these, get a few and experiment. Also, they unravel REALLY easily and when you are cutting pieces for a coil keep a good hand on the end so you don't end up with a big wire mess all over the place.

4-In most cases, less wick is best. For my Petri RTA for example, paying close attention, each video says to fluff the ends out and cut at the end of the build deck.

If you have any good tips glad to hear them, I hope I am not repeating anything everyone already knows....

It is also important to know what kind of atomizer (RDA) you are building on. A Tsunami is a flavor atomizer, A MutationX is a cloud atomizer. If you want flavor use the Tsunami, if you want cloud, use the MutX. Tsunami a clapton works best, MutX you want a simple dual coil build. Juicing is a factor in preventing leaks as well.. Remember Tsunami.. you have a big juice reserve so you can put extra in and puff for 10+ hits. MutationX as stated is a cloud RDA. You drip every 1 or 2 hits. Oh you might get up to 4, but you will remember that 5th one.. OH MY GOD.. I should have dripped. lol.
Mind you, you can wick and run a mutx for flavor but the Tsunami is still better.

The Coil Master for coiling....makes really nice coils for roundwire up to basic clapton coils.

I've got a similar set-I find that I can coil much better with only the big piece actually for some reason, and big claptons sometimes don't fit into the little hole on the big one. They are very handy :)

Pro Tip:

Use the small thick rubber bands from broccoli on your spools to keep the wire on your spool and not flying all over the place:D

With claptons its the core wire the mod reads and the wraps just transfer the heat. You can unwrap the wraps till the bottom of the first loop so it both fits better into a atty and have the mod read the wire better as in SS using TC.
Look up DIY bobbin threader in youtube and make a few on the cheap. I used coat hanger and generic qtip shafts that were hollow.
The Lego stand holds the Temco spools great.

The tsunami24 can pull clouds too. I love this RDA. Quickly became one of my favorites

I like big ass dual on my mutation. Also, one rda that is so fucking underrated is the indestructible RDA by Jaybo. That is hands down my favorite RDA. It's a bitch to build on, because of the way the negatives are but it's such a simple dual coil RDA.

But yeah I like doing a staged build with the tsunami. Fused Clapton/24gnc60 sitting in mine right now.

As I said, Tsunami is a flavor RDA, MutationX is a cloud RDA. Now the Tsunami will make clouds, but nothing compared to the MutX. Just not enough airflow to handle the heat on a balls out cloud build. MutX will not give quite as good flavor as the Tsunami due to the actual shape of the RDA. Close, but for flavor Tsunami for the win. Cloud.. MutX.

My current MutX build is dual coil, with 7 wraps of 20ga kanthal on a 3.5mm id core. Firing at 175-200W.
Tsunami is 0.3 x 0.8 flat wrapped with 32ga Kanthal A1. (I got it preclaptoned from fasttech) Pretty decent for flavor actually. I run 7 wraps, 3.0 mm id core at 125w. I like a fairly warm vape.
