Getting more out of the juice?

I've ran into a problem that I just can't figure out!

I've been sent a number of Ripe Vape's E-Liquids to review, and I really wanted to enjoy their "jooses" because there's a lot of things I really like about the company.

I saw how SpinFuel reviewed their line, and they reviewed them on virtually the same type of devices I use - I'm using the BVC coils right now with some tests.

I'm just not getting any sort of the complexity that many seem to describe with their juices. With the VCT, I'm only getting a softer, slightly dry-textured vanilla (no creamy, moist custard, no tobacco notes), and with the Monkey Snack, I'm only getting a bit of candied banana (a bit like a Nerds-candy type banana... no peanut butter or any real complexity.)

It could just be my taste buds or something, but I've sampled Five Pawns as well (on the BVC's) and I just didn't get anything near what I'd call complex. The flavors will just seem quite one-sided, thin, or even stale.

It happens with a lot of E-Liquids and general, and I'm hoping my tongue just needs a good detox, but I read countless descriptions of E-Liquids, only to be let down a lot of the time. And it seems as though a lot of people really do get that complexity from general coils like the Aspires and Kangers, I'm just not sure why I'm missing out on it.

Does anyone else have this problem?

IMHO, this may not have anything to do with your tastebuds.

Again with a very firm IMHO, any review posted by Spinfuel is suspect as there have long been suspicions that their reviews are bought and paid for.

And I firmly believe this.

I remember in the past they have stated that each of their reviewers (or something very close to this) that they each vaped exclusively a particular flavor for a solid week and nothing but that flavor that each reviewer had a 15ml bottle for use. I do 15ml in three days or less with constant use.

Put those liquids aside for a week and drink one hell of a lot of water and try again.

As far as Spinfuel is concerned, if I got an email from them at Midnight telling me it was dark outside, I would have to step outside to see for myself before I believed it!

And again IMHO (as in I really don't want those asshats to sue me for telling the truth as I see it).

The next time you really want to believe what the SF staff publishes, start drinking GALLONS of cheap booze so you have an excuse to fall back on.

Again, IMHO!

I once got a hold of a juice that was 5 stars from every reviewer and it got a spinfuel award for that.
Luckily I won the juice from a vape show because i was horrible.
i didn't matter if i tanked it, dripped it, steeped it, horrible.

I bought a ton of juice before I began to DIY based on reviews. They must have had different taste buds to mine LOL

That said, I usually use RDAs. I do have some nautilus tanks, and they do mute flavor by comparison - most particularly cream/custard notes (I use the BVC coils).

Not that you can't get good flavor from a tank set up you can. If you really want to taste the juice dripping on a rda or 510 dripping atomizer is the only way to go especially for the more complex flavors. This is of course just my opinion. I would try UncleRJ's recommendation with setting them aside for a week and hydrating like crazy and maybe shaving your tongue.
