Just an FYI. I learnt from bad experience that you have to insert the battery evenly, you can't put in the negative first then put in the positive, it will tear the seal on the battery and will cause eventually a short on the battery which will ruin it. I've lost two 20700 batteries the hard way and want so that this does not happen to you too....

Hi Jerry
I've never had a tear from my vandy vape BF mod, but when I received it on inspection I found a burr on the negative contact which I sanded down so not to get tears or rip in battery wraps. Remember to inspect the battery contacts daily when putting in fresh battery and this will help.

Are you talking about the Pulse?

What did you use to sand the negative copper contact? Did it result in any scratches on the contact?
I've run into same situation and have kept a few 20700 wrappers handy and inspected the batteries on every change. I find that when using the 18650 adapter sleeve, it helps protect the battery to use the sleeve on the positive end of the battery.

You don’t have to lose the whole battery when the wrap tears, just rewrap, costs like .50 cents and is super easy to do.

Thanks to you, I ordered a bunch off of ebay. I had two 20700s, one was trashed by a short when taking it out the wrong way, the other shows a good charge. My existing 18650 sleeves don't fit so had to order the bigger ones for the 20700.
