Next Generation MTL tanks Part 2

Happy New Year Dude!

You have no idea how good it is to have finally found something else that works for me. It’s been about a week, and the Ares is still running great! Not sure why the Siren V2 didn’t pan out, as it’s strikingly similar, but alas it’s a leaking little bitch.
Try using either a 3.0 or 3.5 mm ID coil in the Siren, that should have enough cotton in the juice/feed slots. When you think you have a bit too much cotton (whatever type wicking material) in there, you'll have it just right!

Maybe it's manufacturing tolerances? I've never gotten my Siren 2 to leak, even when I've had the wick channels almost half empty when experimenting with wick thickness and a 2.5mm coil.

I'm snug as a bug in a rug, right now. I have felt better, but I certainly know that things can always be worse.

I'm warm, clothed, fed, have a roof over my head and am employed. Today is a good day.

I hope this new year brings you happy days, good health, and makes wonderful memories for you, even on the days that don't feel quite as fun.

I’ve only used 3mm ID coils for years now, and I’ve been wicking with Rayon for a long time as well, making sure it’s always a tight fit in the coil. Maybe I’ll dig the Siren V2 back out and try it again this weekend. Thanks for the tips though!

I’m still using the kf4 and the kfl for Mtl.... of which I’m doing much lore of these days.
For dripper I’ve been all about the va cyclone

VA Cyclone is an awesome dripper! I still have the one shown in my avatar...Ares. Oh Ares. How I had promise for thee...
Rebuilt it for the first time today, and gurgle, gurgle, leak, weep, weep, gurgle. Can’t get the AFC ring off to get it cleaned out good, and decided to revert back to the trusty KF4 until I figure out what in the hell I did wrong.

I run mine on the toaster or the halcyon.

I’ve come back to the mtl side almost full time. I haven’t really been vaping a whole lot lately in comparison anyway. But I’ve gone from 20ml of juice a day at 3mg to 5ml at 0mg.

I forgot how nice some of these juices tasted at 15-20w of power. I’ve also forgotten how to mount a 28g coil at 1ohm lol.

Totally agree! I still tap dance on both side of the street, but some days MTL is the way to go. I usually have a Chalice 3 on one Therion and my one and only Cyclone v1 on a Wraith. The rest are Nuppin, Haku and B2k on Therion, GBox 200 and a SV.

I was running full wide open for a good while, goon and Kennedy at 120-150w or a 0.08 ohm load on a parallel box.

For whatever reason getting back to basics has been nice. Not to mention I'm kind of digging all the older 22mm stuff again too.

My rare dl gear lately has been the hadalay, tugboat, goon22, kf5 and serpent mini tank(not the smm) all with regular round 24g.

If this keeps up, I'll be liquidating again.

I'd say give Haku (SXK version) a try, I think you'll like it.

I may have to do that after I downsize the gear.
I’m on the process of picking 2 or 3 setups to keep and selling the rest.

I want to convert them into a new 4K drone. :)

How does she vape??
I've gone down the rabbit hole with the sqonking stuff but I'm hoping to slow down after my recent acquisitions. All I want (though not really need) is a couple more Stumpy bf and a couple more un-drilled Cyclones v1.

Like I said above, I would like a couple more Stumpy and Cyclone rda's , but now I'm adding Haku to that list! I had a SXK one for a couple of weeks but just got an authentic and now I need more of them!

Lol, I meant a 4K camera on a quad or hexacopter. I have a pair of them already. However, it’s time for an upgrade. :)

I’m slowing down the vape gas and picking up another expensive acquisition syndrome in its place.

I knew that! Yes, drones are an expensive hobby, but I'll stick with custom squonk gear.....for now! A couple of my neighbors got the stink eye from cops during the recent brush fires, they decided to fly their drones in the "action" areas and created a hazard for the spotter planes and fire choppers.

No offense but those guys are less than smart.

I hate when I hear about some idiot using them to get in the way. Albeit, a little mischief is ok, but not when it hinders first responders or can cause damage.

I got kicked out of a park for flying and getting scenery around a waterfall. A police officer came up to me and told me to leave. I showed him my lic and registration, as well as the laws that were on my side. He told me I had to leave. So, I did. I went across the street to a coffee shop and flew into the park, saw his unit and landed on the hood of the car.
He was pretty animated and pissed, but I made my point and no one was hurt.

I don’t why but I never could get into the custom gear. I have a few of sonars mods, and a few nicer Mech mods. I guess the reality is, I’m bored with the vape gear. Nothing new has come along that struck my fancy since the dna200 or the sx350j. I have what I like and keeps me off the smokes.... and way more than that even.
Maybe I just need something to chase.

You think your better half will be OK with that?

I called them "idiotic dumb shits" in the forum where they were complaining! Then, I pointed their thread to all my neighbors (we were affected by the Creek fire) and they surely let those idiots have it!

I hope you guys made it through the fire ok.... I'm surprised no one shot the drones down. I surely would have taken mine and pushed theirs down

Pilots like that make me more than ok with faa regulations... To a degree at least. I think the ones now are excessive in a way that they hinder responsible pilots and pointlessly restrict certain areas. I do think they should not allow hobby pilots to fly within 500 yards of emergency personal or within 500 yards the flight path of any emergency vehicle or aircraft.

They were getting in the way hurricane relief this past year also.

The tool is great for being used to help rescue efforts when used properly but unfortunately that's not done the right way either yet.

She's ok with it, within reason.. lmao.

Need help finding a MTL tank with factory non rebuildable coils for a friend that wants to try quitting stinkies.

I know there is a newer nautilus tank but not sure on how good it is. MTL is not my thing so I don't follow the products targeting the MTL crowd.

I know he will probably never get into rebuildables, doesn't like to futz with stuff. He needs something he can slap a new coil in and go when it's time for a change out.

Thanx in advance.

Innokin Zenith tank seems to be getting good reviews, which is a MTL tank designed by PBsaurdo and Vaping Greek, has drop in coils, not tried it myself, as like rebuildables, but as said, seems pretty positive so far.

After watching a few reviews of the zenith, seems like a good starter tank.

Next up, what nic level for a mtl tank? 6? 9? Somewhere in between?
I don't want him to turn green from too much nic but I don't want him to crave more nic either.

Yeah, his call on what he is spending. He had a set up a while ago but from what he said it was a pos. Leaky, sometimes fired and other issues I guess. He doesn't live near me so I have no idea what he had.

The ~$60 package was a smoke mico box and the zenith, shipping & tax nothing special but it adds up. Want to get a small built in battery mod, mtl vaping under 15w, 1500-2000 mah will go a long way.

That cheap deal would probably be far better than what he had so either should be a better experience.

Ok I'm gonna ask here. Im wanting to try a good MTL tank and see if I can enjoy the flavor and get less clouds. I tried a kayfun 3.1 clone and it was close to working for me but not quite right, mainly because i could not adjust the airflow easily to find the right airflow for me. Ive looked at the siren and berserker and I care less how good they vape I can't stand the design of the atty. I hate all attys that when you open it up to get to the deck the glass is not held on at the bottom.Im using an ammit 22 and found the flavor is great if I go from a dul .7 coil setup to a single .7 coil but the cluds are about the same. I want to be inconspicuous in public.
So is there an MTL rta that has:
  • great flavor,
  • easy to use airflow like on a griffin or ammit not like the kayfun 3.1
  • has a standard easy to replace drip tip, not proprietary or attached to the top piece etc.
  • top fill
  • the glass section is held on at the top and bottom when you open it up to get to the deck
  • easyish to build on and wick
TIA
