Hello everyone !

I've just started making my own juices and followed all regular steps to make my first ejuice.
But all 3 i made taste like completely burned garbage...

I've used:
80VG/20PG Steam Queen Base
1. TFA - apple pie mixed with TFA - Brown sugar (7% - 3%) (Tasted extremely Burned)
2. Big Mouth fantasia (12%) (Tasted like drinking out of a toilet..)
3. The Candy Shop Strawberry Syrup Pancakes (12%) ( (Tasted extremely Burned)

Used needles to mix the correct ML's.
I've made them and did shake them everyday for +- 3 minutes 1 week long.
I've Primed them very well till the juice came out of the cotton.

Im using a SMOK G-Priv 220w @ 40-60 Watt and a SMOK v8 baby stick with Big Baby Beast (0.4ohm Q2) and Baby beast (0.15ohm M2) Both had the same bad taste.

Can someone tell me what im doing wrong here ?!

I'd start by trying just your base alone without any flavors to narrow it down some.
What should pure base taste like ? Got 2 bottles here, one still sealed so i could easily taste the difference... I dont think that the base is causing the problem btw because its just a new bottle

What is the Nicotine percentage of your base? I am leaning towards the nicotine causing it to taste burned. Can we assume it is a fresh coil?that was properly primed? Did you age and infuse you e-Liquid?

Too much brown sugar will taste too sweet before it'll taste burned. You may need to check your nic and base, as Heabob suggested. I've also had flavorings go bad and taste burned.

Flavorings and base are new, no nic...

Base maybe?
Burned flavor is almost always singed coil cotton.

3? different flavors all taste burned?
Either coil or base used in juice.

But just my opinion.

The more savory flavors tasted burned and the fantasia tasted like biting in an unpealed orange x)
Ive tryed a new coil and my other mod so cant be the coil... trying the base alone later today :)
Thanks for your help !

I think I read no nic, so yes dark base is very bad.
PG/VG base should be clear. Not like glass but clear.

Exactly, but the bottle i used was also halfopen when it arrived so i think we found the problem x)
Ill make some small samples with the other base and hope fully it will be good this time :O
Is there a fast way to test it when made ?

Just vape a bit of the PG/VG base by itself on a clean wick/coil.
Should not have much flavor at all. And will not hurt the wick/coil will just take a bit for the flavor later to come thru when you use regular juice.

Also, not directed at me, but unflavored juice is shake n vape, literally can't get faster than that.

Being relatively new to DIY myself, I really did not enjoy much success until I started using tried and true recipes from other members.

From @HeadInClouds in particular as well as the community recipes from Bull City Flavors.

Here you can clearly see the difference, no wonder it tasted so bad
