Cereal Killa Clone

This needs more cereal flavor and I can't replicate the sweetner. I will be trying liquid stevia and changing the cereal as soon as my new flavors get here. But it is a decent vape for now. Open to suggestions?

Thanks! Too bad I only have one of those flavors.
Yeah not the simplest. This was about 3 months in the making with 4 people working on it. Unfortunately, the guy that finalized it freaked out and pulled it down after he found some vendor selling his clone. Obviously not cool but the damage was already done. It wound up re-posted over there after we mods kept deleting out of respect for the OP from the DIY sub. We eventually let it stay up as we're not there to direct that group with what they post, just to keep the sub running smoothly.

Yes I followed this recently, but the recipe was not available. I have been trying this one for about a month and can see I am not even close. I will definitely try this, thanks again!

Can you type the percentages out? I can't read them on my 1440p monitor. I happen to have both cereal flavors sitting around and want to try this.

FP 3%
RC 7%
SC 3%

BTW: What brand are those cereal flavorings ?

The Fruity Pebbles and Sweet Cream is OneOnOne flavors and you can dial the FP to 2% if its too sharp for your taste. It smooths out after a couple days of steeping.
The Rice Crispies is Flavor West. I am going to try this with some AP and Health Cabin cereal next round.

The reason I went with OneOnOne Fruity Pebbles is this flavor is highly concentrated the website says 1-5% and to mix with VG only so I thought this was possibly the fruit loops flavor in the original. They are also Diacetyl free flavors.

I was not the original creator nor have I even tried the recipes. They were both by the same person. The one posted by me is the original that he had posted. The second one from my throwaway account was a "revision" he claimed to have made. I would recommend trying to second one. I have the ingredients coming soon to try.

Will do. Should be getting the last ingredients I'm missing on Monday.

Honestly I would say go for the newest one from Reddit - the one with FW Hazelnut and all that. Guarantee that is your best bet for a clone. The person who created it has created some great clones in the past.

Also I know botboy has tried them both and the post he made up above says the "revised" one (with FW Hazelnut) is almost dead on.

I am going to substitute a couple of the flavor brands but I got samples for all the Flavour Art from Purevapes for $1.50 per flavor.
As far as my original post recipe OneOnOne flavors are bit pricey and the shipping is usually pretty slow.

I believe the one in the comments to be the closest but haven't tried it.

Those notes for the adjustment were re-posted. They were originally posted by the guy that developed the recipe in the main post but he said that adjustment was better.

I like the second one best but haven't had a chance to let it steep yet.

I whipped it up almost the second that jacks posted those notes in the drama thread.

Steeping this in an ultrasonic with 1on1 Fruity Pebbles, TFA Rice Crunchies, and TFA Sweet Cream. I hate how the sweet cream smells when it gets on my hands. bleh. The flavors mixed, before steeping, smell really good.

So the FW Hazelnut came earlier than expected today and I made up the revised version from the Reddit comment I posted.

Wow. Keep in mind that I have not actually tried Cereal Killa. I've smelled it though, that's it. I cannot comment on how close it is but going off Botboy's comment, it must be really close.

I made this stuff, heat steeped it for an hour, gave it a really good shaking, and just.. oh man. It is Fruit Loops. That's all I can really say. It is Fruit Loops and it is absolutely delicious. If you guys want a clone of Cereal Killa I would bet money that recipe is it. Again, the recipe is:

  • FW Hazelnut 2%
  • FA Meringue 2%
  • FA Bergamot 1.5%
  • FA Orange 1%
  • CAP Sweet Tangerine (V1) 1%
  • FE Lemon 3%
  • FW Yellow Cake 2%
The Meringue, Bergamot (careful with measuring this stuff, it can be really overpowering if you mess it up), and Yellow Cake give it a good citrus/cereal base. The Orange and Sweet Tangerine give it the rest of the citrus notes. The Lemon is.. well it is THE lemon. Buy some and smell it. Smells like Fruit Loops or those Lemonhead candies. The Hazelnut mixes well with some creamy notes in the Meringue and Yellow Cake and give it that subtle milky-ness.

FE Lemon must be bought from ecigExpress as it is their own line. I believe you can get all of the other ingredients from there as well except for Bergamot and Sweet Tangerine - I got those from RTS. Well worth having to make two seperate orders.

All credit for the recipe goes to jackster from Reddit and those who helped him nail down the key ingredients. They really knocked it out of the park here.

Too bad the FE Lemon has been out-of-fucking-stock every time I checked over the last week. And its probably because of this clone recipe. Has anyone tried another lemon or does anyone know if another lemon will work?! I already have or just ordered every other flavor I needed and lemon is the only thing missing.:mad::mad::mad::mad:

Could I use CAP Hazelnut instead of FW Hazelnut? I've made it without the hazelnut and thought that it tasted more like Fruity Pebbles than Fruit Loops, still pretty good though

FW Hazelnut is creamier than CAP. It works much better in this recipe.

FE Lemon is also necessary, no other lemon works quite right. It is a 'candy' lemon, think of lemonheads.

Edit: I fail at multi-quoting.

I'll bet ECX will restock on that pretty fast, but the creator did also mention that you could try a combo of 1% TFA Lemon and 2% CAP Lemon Sicily (not FA!) to get a similar taste. Note the "similar". FE Lemon is what this recipe is supposed to use, but if you're in a bind you can at least try those two.

Yeah, I signed up as well a couple days ago. I'll just wait and get the FE Lemon. No point in changing the recipe if its only going to be similar.

what nicotine do you guys use for this ? i was looking at different strengths ,also what base do you use for the nicotine blend ? (for ex. 50/50 , 70/30)

i have the original cereal killer from 9 south and i made the one from over at reddit seems everyone who's tried it goes for the clone one.i let it steep for two weeks

the original was made 100 vg just for dripping 6 mg thats what my wife got but making the clone i went with 70/30pg with 18 mg.using 100 nic at 100vg

I have been making the reddit clone without the FE lemon( it's never in stock) at 3mg at about 85 Vg the flavors come to 12.5% Pg plus another 3 for my nic. I have made a 60/40 at 6mg for tanks but I prefer the dripper version. The original is 90Vg/10Pg.
I have Rts 100mg Pg Nic now but Wizard Labs is a good place to grab some if your just getting into it. PureVapes sells small bottles of Flavourart flavors for a good price.

sounds like you are a bit new to mixing..
what nic level do you vape?

the way recipes are written, with percents.. like:

5% peanut buter
2% vanilla swirl

means you make your own "base" mix.. but yet I can do the same and we both come up with different, but yet it will still taste the same.. :)

i hope this makes sense to you! :) and please, use a calculator.. mine is:

I vape the cereal killa and the toasted by 9 south vapes. and yes I'm very new lol I'm just starting doing my own liquid (less expensive lol) , the bottles say .4% on them (guessing that is nicotine) i was going to order the 100%VG Nicotine , is that fine , i know @hambill says yes thats fine ?

yea the 4% on the bottle is the nic level which would be 4mg.i ordered the 100%vg nic because we drip a lot but i also have pg/vg on hand to make whatever combo i need as far as like 60pg40vg or any other combo

4% on a bottle of nicotine base would be 40mg. If you are referring to what's on the cereal killer bottle, I believe it's .4% but I could be wrong and he could be mislabeling. Vaping 4% nicotine would be horrendous...

i tried vaping 16mg nic. on the Volcano flavor and i almost killed myself lol , never again would i do something that high !!!!!!!!!!!!!! but thank you guys , I'm going to try it out and see how it comes i will let you know how the finished product is !!!!

I'd like to throw my version out here for you guys to enjoy. I'm going to mix some up with the hazelnut, but with my recipe, I did not use it. I would suspect that the AP tricks my taste buds into thinking it's more creamy, without the cream. Keep in mind that the real Cereal Killa is sold at a 90VG/10PG ratio, with 4mg nic, so it's important to keep the percentages right when you mix this, in order to get a good experience. I have tasted the real deal, and I'd say it's about 90% there.
  • FA Meringue - 3%
  • FE Lemon - 2%
  • FA Orange - 1%
  • FW Yellow Cake - 1.5%
  • CAP Tangerine - 0.9%
  • FA Bergamot - 0.5%
  • TFA Acetyl Pyrazine 5% - 0.4%
I'm still trying to get the "milky" aftertaste, and am going to try with some various FA creams (Catalan, Fresh, Vienna) in a few. I find that this tastes great as a "shake & vape", but really tastes fantastic after a few days, or a few hours in the heated UC.

Yeah I revisited with a real bottle of Cereal Killa last week and the second version posted on reddit isn't 100% but it is pretty damn close after a one-two week steep. Close enough for me to enjoy it plenty.

Inspired me to start making some variations, namely working on a lucky charms variation and a berry crunch variation. The Meringue/Yellow Cake is an awesome combination, a little AP or hazelnut really helps. The AP works really similarly to the hazelnut here, really it's just such a suble nuttiness that anything can really work.

I'm going to give the second version a mix up shortly after I post this, and see how it goes. I had the real stuff when I was at the B&M two weeks ago, and I knew I needed to give it a go. I mixed up the version that I posted, and the reactions I got were surprising (i.e. "DOOD, THAT'S ON POINT!" "OMG!"). For me, it was missing the milky "mouth-feel", and I've had a convo with HIC this evening about some suggestions. I guess that's the wonderful thing about this hobby, is that there's so many people here with so much information that they are willing to share to make the community better and more fun!

Keep us posted on the Lucky Charms... I never get to eat any of them b/c my daughter digs her hand in the box, and picks out the marshmallows!

Damn, I don't have any FW Hazelnut. I did buy the FA Hazelnut to play around with the coffee recipe. sigh
I did buy some jackfruit though. Going to see how that tastes tomorrow.

Honestly my favorite thing about the clone isn't even the clone itself, its that it made me realize that meringue+yellow cake is an amazing combination for cereal flavors.
