So i have a question, if this is in the wrong spot i apologize..

Im using a Serpent mini on a Stick X8, I've got a single coil built at .6ohm It seems to really be lacking in flavor.. Any Suggestions?

i'd also like to hear any favorite builds on the serpent mini, i recently bought 3 and have only used the twisted coils that came with them. i haven't built any coils at all yet, i'll probably try some pre-mades based on suggestions for now

Which one of the Serpent Mini are you talking about? There is a 22 mm and a 25 mm Version, and I do have several of both. However, I don't use the 22 mm Version as much, due to it's liquid capacity. I'm utilizing pre made Alien wire (Kanthal) as my coil of choice, at 0.5 Ohm, without any issues, especially regarding the flavor! In other words, try utilizing different coils!

The serpent mini 22mm is about the only RTA I use and the flavor is on point. I have a friend who makes me very simple clapton wire sticks and I too also wrap a .6 coil and run it at about 33w.

It might be, that the Serpent Mini was designed for use of "fancy" coils, e. g. Clapton, Fused Clapton, Alien coils. If I get the time, I'll try utilizing "simple" round wire coils, and see how those work. It might take a while though, to report back with my findings.

What coil builds have you been using? (Type of wire used, ID, Resistance)

I have the OG serpent mini (not the smm version, etc), and it always delivered decent flavour with simple round wire builds. I used ss316 26awg, 10 wraps at 3mm, about 0.6 ohms.
I not used it for a while because the airflow hissed like a snake, but from memory you had to reverse-wrap your coils, and mount them exactly at the right height. Too low and it would basically choke the airflow, too high and airflow would miss the coil.
Spaced coils that were as wide as you dared seemed to work best, with wicking leaning towards the lighter side.

But claptons did work better lol! Just saying, it was good enough without them though!

I have used Alien coils (3 mm ID) in both Serpent Mini RTAs (22 mm & 25 mm), and I was getting the best flavor. However, I can see, were the 3 mm ID of the coil can come into play with this RTA. A smaller ID coil would produce less flavor, due to the lack of surface area. Greater surface, more vapor, thus more flavor. Personally, I prefer spaced coils, when utilizing SS 316L wire for TC.

Me too @Neunerball ! I see great minds think alike!!

I have stuck claptons in it before for funsies, but this diddy tank was supposed to be part of my stealthy setup, and claptons are not exactly "stealth" ha!
