Made by Smoktech some are calling this the clone of the Vicious Ant 250 watt box mod that is currently going for $500+. The Smoktech Variant is currently the most powerful regulated mod going - pushing 260 watts. I'm sure by the time I'm done pimping this post China will have a 300 watt mod lol. Some people call this the iPhone of mods.

THE HARD COPY:
  • Variable wattage - can be adjustable from 5.0W to 260.0W (0.1W increments)
  • Variable voltage - can be adjustable from 2.0V to 8.4V (0.1V increments)
  • 1.4" OLED display
  • Output current: 80A (Max.)
  • Works with 0.2-3.5ohm atomizers

Who seriously is vaping at that wattage?

I suppose that is a good deal on a VV box, but holy smokes! Who uses VV boxes at those wattages? My Sig has never been used over 60 watts.

0.1 Ohms at 4.2 Volts = 176.4 Watts.

At that point, what is the difference than a mech. Does the regulation change the battery life? I know the safety of the chip is a plus, but from what I've heard even at that power a regulated mod will not hit as hard as a mech.

I don't know, I'm asking. I don't vape that low sub. O usually don't go below .5 unless its a dual coil and I keep then at or above .3. My IPV2 will not push a .1 ohm, or fire it.

Power questions aside, it is a snazzy looking mod. The screen is really nice. Probably doubles as a flash light as well. There is a lot of stuff on that screen.

1200mAh? That equals about 7 clouds @ 260w, then recharge...

You would need a box mech mod to match this since you would need 2 batteries to reach 250 watts at a relatively safe resistance. The regulated, aside from the safety features, just servers 2 purposes. It calculates the wattage for you. And it ensures the same voltage is pushed out regardless of battery charge. A mech will get weaker the more drained the battery is.

The addict in me wants this mod. But since I don't need that much yet I will be waiting. The issue I have with it is that it only supports .2 ohms and higher and to get 250 watts at 8.4 volts you need to go .28 or lower. So to only get the full amount while the batteries are near fully charged you have a very limited build. I will be happy with my Sigelei 150W once it shows up for a long time since it lets you build down to .1.

I have vaped 100W on 3 coil 22 gauge 9 wraps on 3mm diameter. I prefer 85 but when I first drip and it is heavily saturated I take a couple 100W hits. My hope is to be able to build with my 20 gauge on a regulated, and with that I will need some crazy high watts.

I was thinking the same thing.. 1200 - thats it!?!?

it's way too bulky for my liking anyways, but I do love the screen display
