Howdy from Texas

A little over a year ago, I had to go to Chicago for three weeks. I smoked a pack a day so I figured I'd go buy a couple of cartons for the trip. The place I normally went to only had one carton so I went to another shop to get the second carton. While I was there, I saw these eGo blister packs. I asked the guy behind the counter about them and he let me try one. I almost bought one but I already had a carton I couldn't return. So I bought the second carton and went home to pack.

I had remembered seeing a flyer on the door about something called a vape shop. I dug it out of the trash and took at look at it. There was a new shop in town not far from where I live so I checked it out. The folks were super nice. They told me all about vaping, asked me how much I smoked, and made some recommendations. I said I'd be back in three weeks.

When I got back from Chicago I was on my last pack of smokes. I decided I'd take the plunge and try out this new e-cig thing. The next morning, I woke up and went straight to the vape shop. They folks there were awesome, treated me like they'd known me forever, and even joked with me about how they thought they'd never see me again. The owner still shares that story with new customers.

I haven't smoked a cigarette since that day.

Welcome Al and that is a great story. I too was one of the lucky ones who was able to quit my first day with a decent set up. This is the place to be for all things vaping.

I am from Pearland Texas. Howdy to the new comer howdy howdier. On 9 months now so I guess I have given birth to a brand new baby non smoker. Howdyeeeeeeee to the new clean baby. The labor was hard but worth it. It was good but it wasn't smoking as I stopped it!!!!

Sounds awesome...it's a great way to stop smoking cigarettes and start a new hobby at the same time!

@UncleRJ - Current gear is a Hanna V3 clone, Kfun lite, A-Mods King Sword mech, Magma RDA clone by Infinite, A-mods Freakshow RDA. I just started experimenting with dripping a couple weeks ago. Every day rig is the Hanna.

@Vapin' Tuefel - It has certainly become a hobby. Can't seem to stay away from the vape shop. Awesome friends now and the comfy leather couches don't hurt, heh.
