If replay can be saved as a profile on the mod.........that would also be a good one.

I saw an interview with owner of evolv and DJLSB Vapes and was very skeptical since DJLSB has become a total shill. Todd on the other hand I trust. I might have to get a DNA 75c now.

Looks like only one profile or replay setting from what he said about having to disable and reactivate it each time an atty is changed.

Being able to save replay setting on mod w/o going to escribe, like R1-R2 for diff atties, when change atty just hit R preference instead of redoing replay. Maybe in escribe we can see what replay set that vape to, and make it memory setting available on the mod ?

i dunno it would be nice if you could set it up for a few different attys though.
And even in escribe put the name of the atty?

Im really looking at a great tc device so I don't have to constantly carry 2-3 mods around, was considering a DNA device but were waiting for the new features and products. I wish companies would stop making every mod a plain box or extremely boxy. I don't like it because I have small hands. I was looking at the mirage, but I hate single battery. Guess I have to wait and hope someone designed a good looking non boxy mod with an excellent tc chip. Maybe in 8 years? Lol love the replay tho

is the replay mode just another way to market custom wattage curves...Without the hassle of setting it up?

I can get a pretty close TC experience from
Custom wattage curves

In the video with Brandon and Daniel, Brandon doesn't refer to it as TC and even corrects Daniel when he calls it that, so I think Brandon just wants us to call it Replay and prolly because when you hear replay, you think evolve. Tod mentions SS and Titanium will replay, didn't mention Nickel but should imo. Tod noted it doesn't work for Ni, and the way you loose vape when you run out of juice points to TC.

Seemed Brandon, without saying so, in that first interview w/Daniel he eluded to 75c as probably getting Replay update before 250c was released or about the same time. Now looks like it's going to be a while for 75c since Evolve seems to always have those months of lag compared to what they portray.

I'm eager to get into escribe while in Replay mode to see if it's settings can be seen/saved.

For up coming 250c I've seen Boxer, Rebel and now Paranormal.

I read that Replay is just novice TC Mode and thought to myself that was an accurate description. Just my humble fucking opinion you must remember. What most reviewers think or say I can give two shits less except for a couple..........

That's a great way to sum it up, TC for dummies, actually as I said in the video, it just works, it's simple and for idiots like me it makes TC (or whatever you call it) a lot more usable.

Why should you give a shit what a reviewer thinks, just some idiot with a camera at the end of the day ;)

Set the wattage and temperature and you are pretty much done, adjust temperature if necessary but with many non-DNA mods it is that simple. Even with a DNA Mod those are the most important specs to have to adjust.

I'll not dispute that, you have your opinion, I have mine and the world keeps turning.

Thanks for sharing Mr Cromwell :D

I am looking forward to trying Replay. I strongly dislike fiddling with tc and watts, replay lets my save a perfect hit with no fiddling. Call me a tc dummy if you like, I could give a crap. Finally something for those of us that don't want to fiddle, just get a good consistent tasty vape.

I think the part about you must use SS coils for this to work needs to be emphasized.
At least that is how I understand it.

That's a very good way to describe it. It allows the user to basically set it and forget it.

This is how TC Mode works at least for me. Switch from a wattage tank to a TC and 3 clicks later I am using the same settings from the last time.

Yep. When I vaped SS I set the wattage about 5-10W higher than I would vape in wattage mode and then adjust the temp to my liking. That ensured a quicker ramp up and then let the chip do the rest according to the temp I set.

That said I do understand some folks don't want to tinker too much with settings and just want to vape. To each their own. :)

Yes but even using replay you need to find the sweet spot as with plain old wattage mode. Doesn't magically work the way you want it requires tinkering.

True but it does remove temperature from the equation which could be the appeal for those not interested in tinkering.

I think this is DNA's way of trying to offer something for everyone with their chips. The more options they have available the broader range of user they reach.

This might actually get me to buy and try another dna device. I bought 2 smy sdna75 ages ago and hated the tc vape profiles it came loaded with. Tried messing with escribe and gave up. If it can't give a tc vape as good as at least a wismec out of the box it shouldn't cost 3 - 5 times as much and force me to fiddle with software on the computer to (try to, yet fail to) get a decent vape that won't dry hit.

Not sure this is true, think it works similar to taste control and works with other wires.

I dunno did not seem to work with NI from what I heard somewhere.
Until some one gives a full review and not demos like Todd and Mike Vapes we might not know. I haven't found much fact related chatter. Haven't checked the Evolve forum yet. Waiting for someone to put it through it's paces.

It does try to work with Kanthal and Nichrome then Evolv is trying to appeal to the beastie tank crowd.

No one has gotten TC to work worth a darn with Kanthal yet.
I know Hohm Tech claims it has. But I watched a promo/demo vid by a Hohm tech employee and it was downright laughable with the gyrations an expert with the device was going thru to get it to mostly work.

Actually I think my wife gave mine to a grandkid or one of the sons previous wives?
I dunno, seems to have vanished and I can remember why.
But do not really care much either :)

Yeah, but it sure makes a tasty rib roast.
Crispy on the outside and bloody inside.
Nothing better!
