This is my second time picking up vaping, after 30 years 2 pack a day menthol smoker. The first lasted about 3 months, I always had problems with coils, and taste of the juice. My first mod was the Evic mini with the Ego1 tank. It worked great until the pre-installed coils burnt out, that's when it all went down hill. I could not find any other coils that gave me the same taste, they all tasted burnt or no taste at all. After buying more tanks and still finding the same problems I just went back to smoking. But now I want to quit smoking and this time for good. It's only been 4 days but so far so good.
My new tank is the Fireluke Mesh and the flavor is really good and I've tried 2 different juices. I got that on a Cuboid 150

Welcome, and welcome back... and be sure to learn from the past, and get more than one setup you like, if you really are serious about not smoking, and line up all your sources for vape hardware and ejuice. It's so damn easy to find an excuse, any excuse will do, to go back to those damn coffin nails -- you need to have enough vape stuff, hardware, coils, wicks, juice -- so that's it's always easier to find something to vape, than run out to the store for smokes.

I really can't offer much in the way of hardware advice, but I've been smoke-free thx to vaping for over a 3 and a half years, had a brief relapse of my own or it would be over 4 yrs now. :D After 39 yrs of smoking, I thought I would smoke until I died of it, but vaping proved me very happily wrong. :)

Vape on! :cloud:

Thank you glad to be here. I'm finding a lot of useful information on here. I already ordered more juice from the deal section here, so I should be good there. Now I have to find another tank and there are so many out there. Any opinions will be really appreciated.

Welcome from an ex 2 pack a day menthol smoker.

If you find yourself longing for a menthol taste best two juices I know of are Volcano Menthol Burst and Halo Menthol Ice (In that order).

I will be looking for these now, it's hard finding a good menthol vape. I tried Xtreme Ice, and black ice and they weren't that good.

Most of the brown liquid ones I could find tasted like armpit or wet leather with menthol flavorings. These two do not suck. Menthol Burst is by far the closest I have found that was satisfying and I used Halo when I couldn't get the volcano.

Rooting for you, quitting the stinkies is huge man.

What companies or makers did you try? I see a couple of places selling the Menthol Burst. Are they all the same or is there a better one?

Welcome and while its not a menthol I have found the TFA peppermint to be rather flavorful and nice and cooling.

Just straight peppermint? At what %?
Some depends on taste... However, I have found for me in and RDA I can take it up to around 4-5% but this is about the limit ie/ on the max side. But for tank mixes should be able to push it a little more. I would suggest mixing lower around 3 or even 2 and see if you like it, then go higher. I have tossed too much juice because I liked a flavor and went to high on the first mix. Its more trouble to remix to lower the a flavor percent, than it is to just add more flavor when starting low.

...made a "Peppermint Bark" juice with white chocolate the other day, using TFA Peppermint. Haven't tried it yet, but high hopes...

ETA: Oh, that peppermint is lovely....! (I'm also an ex-menthol-smoker, 39 years)

ETA2: No kidding, @jojosvapes this peppermint juice is the bomb. It leaves a light coolness behind for a good while after vaping. It is awesome.

My favorite favorite favorite tanks of all time are the Kabuki clones I've bought from Fasttech. If you're rolling in dough, you can get a genuine Kabuki from House of Hybrids or Creme de Vape, if you can catch them in stock, for about a hundred bucks. Or you can try a clone for 13 bucks, but you have to wait about three or four weeks for it to come. No elegant solutions here, but worth the wait, imo.

These tanks aren't sub-ohm, they use Aspire Nautilus coils or Steam Tribe Kabuki coils, but I've thought about trying a Triton Mini coil (comes in 0.2 ohm) in them to see if they can become sub-ohm. I think the airflow is there, but not sure the coils will work.

Anyway, mouth-to-lung vaping generally works better for folks trying to get off cigarettes, and the Kabuki is designed to be an MTL tank. The MTL "experience" is more like inhaling and having the throat hit of a cigarette.

Next on my list is an Aspire Triton Mini using Nautilus coils instead of the Triton Mini coils.

This is an area you'll probably never find a consensus, just like with juice or mods. Everyone likes the setup they've become accustomed to, and the possible combinations are very nearly infinite.
