USA Ohm reader quick review

I bought one of the USAohm meters. It's a very solid meter, and accurate to 3 decimal points. When testing sub ohm you won't see a decimal point. When testing 1 ohm and above you will see a decimal point for example: 1.5. When testing super subs like .09, you will see the decimal point as well.

In the picture, the Aeolus RDA tests out at .25 (247)

The meter itself is nice and flat, and can be used as a building base & has a spring loaded contact. Is it worth the 27 dollars? I think so. It's made in the usa, solid high quality meter, and only 10 or 12 bucks more than a cheap chinese unit. I piss away 10 or 12 dollars for a couple of beers at a restaurant.

**** EDIT ****

I have changed this to a "I can't recommend". After budkiss's statement below, I emailed them with warranty concerns about mine because of what happened to his "best ohm reader in the world". They claimed it was not about the cost of replacing, but rather a "corporate policy that is clearly written on the website", which it is not. He hides the fact he only has a 30 day warranty. So he clearly is a cheap ass who doesn't trust his own product.

They want to play the argumentative card and act Mr. Corporate, instead of compassionate human, that's fine. Buy one at your own risk since you won't have a warranty. This USAohm reader guy is a complete argumentative asshat.

I bought the standard ohm meter (blue transparent) in oct. it was great but noticed recently it not reading or reading incorrectly. Turns out there is a little washer/o-ring under the 510 connection. It seems to have stretched or broken. I reached out to company. I am out of my warranty timeframe so no replacement. They offered $3.00 off for a replacement. Ugh.

Did you ask them to mail you a new connector? They look really easy to replace

Been using mine daily for almost 3 months. Zero problems. I adore this thing. WELL worth the $27 or whatever it cost. I've spent 4x that amount replacing the cheap eleaf meters.

Apparently the 510 cannot be easily replaced. Maybe i can slip a new oring in there.

They did reply to me in a quick and courteous manner. They tried to make it right. Out of warranty is just a reality i have to live with.

Sorry man, but this is complete bullshit. This company brags about how great their ohm readers are but won't deal with you other than a 3 dollar credit, which is a slap in the face IMO. A 30 day warranty for the "Best Ohm Reader in the world made in the USA"?? wtf. Which by the way, warranty info is not mentioned anywhere on their website.

They implied you abused the unit, but state, "great building platform". They say "Industry standard 510 connector", and in the same breath said you got juice on it that destroyed the o-ring. What a bunch of bullshit.

Their jerk response to my email to them asking about it was uncalled for. They also encouraged to "spread the news good or bad" on the internet.

I bought mine to support the USA thing, and they seemed like a company that would go to the end of the earth to fix whatever problem might crop up. Guess I was wrong. Instead they play the childish blame game over a couple dollars it would cost them to replace your 9 month old unit.

By the way, this cheap chinese ohm reader is just as accurate at less than half the cost, and it's been working fine for the last year.

Hey guys, I've got a coilmaster 521 minitab which works great, never had a problem with it. But it only reads down to .1ohms. I'd like, something that reads lower than this. Maybe. .06. Any suggestions? I can't seem to find 1. Thanks.

Whatever you do, don't buy a USA ohm reader. Not made in the US, and pure cheap chinese garbage

That is pretty disappointing.

Yes, the owner of USA ohm readers is a lying greedy asshole with shit customer service. Waves the American flag around his website then argues with customers who paid the big $$. Basically saying, buy my stuff then fuck off.

He's the definition of a Charlatan.

Man, all i did was ask people their opinion on a good ohm reader. Didn't realise it was in wrong section and certainly didn't mean to cause arguments. How about we just drop it?

Relax bro...just playing around. You weren’t in the wrong section, since you didn’t start the thread.

Oh, well in that case, all good! I still want a good ohm reader though! Lol. .1 isn't low enough!

If you’re serious about wanting to know your actual resistance, this is the least expensive option I’ve found for an accurate kelvin bridge Milliohm meter. I can testify, it’s a great unit but a bit pricey for some vapers. If you want the peace of mind that comes with knowing your resistance with a high degree of accuracy and precision, this is a great option:

I wouldn’t have if I knew it was just a pointless thread with some guy whining about a product that doesn’t exist. ;)

You were the one whining about about letting the thread die 2 1/2 years after the fact. Besides, when you butted in, you didn't know he no longer sold ohm readers. But he is still in business.

Make yourself useful and go start your own thread somewhere. Nobody elected you as the forum cop.
