Looking forward to your thoughts. Have this camped in the cart but haven't pulled the trigger as I am skeptical.

What caught my eye is the reworked bottom plate, they also state upgraded other internals but the bottom battery plate was what did it for me.

We'll see if it's much of an improvement or if they're just blowing smoke up our asses.

well i didnt expect to be doing that today, but here we are. hopefully the switch is more upgraded since the 3.1, which seems (i have no way to measure it) to drop a lot of voltage compared to the v3 switch. it feels way nicer, but hits noticeably softer.

Yeah so am I so let's see how they are. I must say though, good price for the pre-order which was another reason why I went for it.

It's a bummer that there are so few choices for para-series, I wish there was more competition.

Yep. There are only about 3 I know of and one of them was made by a dude on here if I remember correctly.

That teal cerakote color was a weird choice for color two (IMO)

Silverwolf Customs was working on one last year, looked like the Sith V2. He announced it on his FB page but there hasn't been a peep about it for months :(

well fawk they cancelled my preorder because i am 'international' and i cant find a canadian site that has them up yet. i just mailed vc to see if they can point me in the right direction. anyone find them for sale anywhere else yet?

edit - found one on ebay (vapedified), wish me luck :cheers:

yeah thats a bad email to wake up to on such a busy day with no option to try to 'fix' it until i got home lol (made work 2x stressful)...sometimes its really hard to get the stuff i want in canaduh, theres a ton of us vendors that wont ship me stuff. oh well, hopefully the place i found on ebay (edited into above post) will hook me up.

yeah they have an all black four horsemen edition now. i got the first four horseman (silver w/black horsemen) but i would have rather had the all black one. the funny part is i told myself i wouldnt buy another one just because it was black and here i am trying my damnedest to do it with the trinity edition :huh:

Has anyone had problems with their HOG? Out of the box mine was acting up. It wouldn't fire most of the time when I pushed the button. I tried adjusting the 510 pin up and down with not much luck. It would fire for a couple pulses then would misfire for 10-20 button pushes. On the upper battery plate, inside the mod, there are some screws that were slightly loose. I tightened them each about a half turn and now it fires flawlessly every time.

Just thought I would mention this in case anyone has the same problem.

mine arrived today, and was in a similar state to @Fudgey Finger. the button felt bad on first click (no atty/batteries) so i followed his advice and checked the screws inside, which were all loose. i fully took it apart to check the internals and there is actually a fully stripped screw in my switch, and the rest were half unscrewed/loose. thankfully the screw opposite the stripped one is holding the switch together by itself, and now that its all tightened down it works like a champ. not too impressed with the state it arrived in though.

on that note, the new switch feels as nice as the 3.1, but seems to hit harder (imo, no way to measure it and collect factual info on how hard they all hit in relation to eachother). the 510 seems a bit deeper and the finish is beautiful.

to anyone getting one of the trinity editions, before you use it, take the four corner screws out of the top of the battery area, remove the top plate which they held in (screw an atty into it for leverage) and tighten all the screws that are exposed when you remove that, then tighten the screws on the battery door too. every single one of mine (except the one that was completely stripped) was barely screwed in.

edit - just looking at the box it came in. theres a warning on the bottom that says 'this product is not to be used in any sexual manner.' i wonder why they are including that warning? someone really really loved their vc xxx stacked tube mod?

yeah the hog is one of my all time favorites as well. i like series vapes, but the extra amps of para-series really let you use some cool builds. what build are you running on yours? i have done some crazy ones, but i think my favorite hog setup has been the aromamizer plus with 3x28ka1/38n80 4mm 5.5wrap ~.28 ohm aliens. for some reason this setup is just incredible for me.

I'm using parallel 24g Kanthal round wire 9 wraps on a 3.5mm bit. It ohms out around 0.23 mounted in my Drop. I have to be careful not to overdrip or drip on the coils because the spitback is brutal.

Has anyone tried the steamcrave titan? I like the idea of a series build deck. Being able to hold 28mls is a bit ridiculous, so is 18mls, but in rda mode it looks like its made for the hog.

I use the Voltrove on the HOG, it's a pretty damn good vape too.

Well finally went down and picked up my pre-order at the Post office and my impressions initially of the V3. 2, it's decent but not enough if you've already got a V3. The so called improvements I'm really not seeing it much. Same style plate, the positive I'm seeing very minor changes but are they improved? Maybe, time will see. Disappointed with the QA, but hey that's Chinese manufacturing for you, pretty poor. All I needed to do is tighten things up.

I'm not going to go in depth just give my impressions. If you don't have a HOG V3 then get it, I have a couple of the Clones and do see minor quality over the Clones but to be honest not $180 worth ya know. Vaperz Cloud are Chinese so I'd recommend getting the Clone because what they charge for this Mod isn't worth the price. It does hit like a freight train and I do love it but I'm still keeping an eye out for a high end Para series that is worth over $100, the HOG isn't. Silverwolf Customs gave a teaser on one coming out a year ago, I'm watching for it.

Anyway here's mine with the 30mm Prophet with triple fused Claptons, she chucks some serious obscene plumage with excellent flavor. At 0.5 ohms any clouds Bro with a stupid low 0.05 build don't have a chance ;)

Good looking out. I have been taking out and putting this back in cart. Going to hold off until the ones with designs come out and go down in price.

Oh if you already have an authentic or Clone IMO it's not worth it but if you don't go for it. It's one hell of a good performer and the form factor is great. The reason why is there is very limited choice for para series mods out there, that's why price is so high.

Totally agree! $200+ for the Authentic, $25-$30 for the Clone, like I said not worth it at all. It'll take some time to see if there are any improvements but I'm honestly not seeing it now.
