Got my new Penguin yesterday, did everything right (probably)
1st coil 0.6ohm MTL
primed the coil
filled in only 2ml juice as trial (60-40 - Malaysian - AJ vape Honeydew Melon - 6mg)
let it sit with juice in it for 15 minutes
Vaped - loved it
30 minutes later, bummer - "Burnt taste"
Checked the tank, there was still some juice in it
I was like, maybe the juice was less, I was chain vaping, vaping angle prevented juice from entering the coil (since it is a horizontal design)
2nd Coil 0.6ohm MTL
primed the coil really really well
Also used a pin to fluff and poke the cotton from the top - no holes
filled in only 8ml juice (60-40 - Malaysian - AJ vape Honeydew Melon - 6mg)
let it sit with juice in it for 15 minutes
Vaped - loved it
30 minutes later, I am sort of a feeling that the same story is about to be repeated again"
I removed the coil 5 times primed it again and again to avoid burning the coil. Seems ok after that.
It seems i will have to use it like a dripper
Now;
- is it just me?
- is it my juice?
- is the juice too thick that it fails to enter the coil - i feel the juice is thinker but can it fail to enter the coil?
- is this a known issue with penguin (but 30 minutes is ridiculous for such expensive coils)
- Am I missing something?
BTW the mod is cool, battery seems to hold, clouds are great, flavour is great I am a 20-25W vaper so it has a hard hit for me but have adjusted the pull.
