You know Raymo I don't comment on your stuff very often cause I imagine when you get to your level of building you have so many people worshipping you that it must almost get annoying to a certain extent. But, I must take the time to say however you are taking these photos... they look really great. That's sincere. I try to take some of the ideas you come up with and dumb them down for my own personal progress so thanks for continuing to post your work. I think it helps out everyone. I'd love to know what your favorite coil to vape is. I also know that you are one of the if not the originator of the alien stagg which I think is brilliant, it's a build I have been working on and practicing. Single coil 6 ply/26g frame/36-40g alien wrap all N80 single coil fraliens that ohm around .12-.14 on a tube mod has become my favorite vape. Although I try to build an assortment of coils, most of the coils I build I give away and I simply vape my own fraliens. Would love to know what you really enjoy vaping cause I do understand that some of what you do is for the purpose of art and some of it is for the purpose of getting a great vape and sometimes those can be two separate things. If you can enlighten me on what it is you really love to vape that'd be cool,.. if you have the time. Thanks again for all your posts.

8*.4x.1 N80 / 38g N80 framed with 28g KA1 fused with 40g

I honestly have no idea how that fuse came out so tight and perfect. I actually spaced it with 38g, but thought it looked a bit small so I fused with 40g and bam, looks like it was intended lol N80

I appreciate that and I dont mind hearing what people have to say about the work I do, even if its negative or have many questions. Ive never understood that attitude of those that envelope themselves in something they love doing but then treat anyone else as if they were "below" them....I love helping people out and answering question, getting people where they want to be.
My favorite vapes are pretty boring in comparison to what I post....Im pretty picky about vape quality, ramp up, airflow, and heat/atomization. I like Alien Staggs/5 Core SS Aliens or 4 Core N90 Aliens (4 Wraps/3mm ID) on a Mech in most RDAs or 4 Core SS, 3 Core N90 Aliens (Also 4 Wrap/3mm ID) for Small Chamber RDAs like the Reload/Kennedy.

Very cool. Would love to learn this build myself. How's the vape?

It's just one strand of 0.3 ribbon twisted as much as it will twist, then claptoned around 3x24 :) Only needed about 1 yard for 4 wraps

It's kinda a hot vape, I'm gonna try it again maybe with more cores of a smaller gauge

Btw, that staggerton is super clean, awesome job

Here's a tip that works for me, don't know if it will for you but there is no harm in trying. Rather than holding the spool while I do the fusing I place the spool on the floor and hold the fusing wire about four inches away from the stack with my left hand while my right hand holds tension on the drill. I pull down slightly with my left hand and if I have to, depending on the build, I go slow so I can see the fuse coming together and if there are any problems I just back it up and feel it through again, (as many times as it takes). When I alien I hold the wire about ten inches away from the stack but when I'm doing a staggered build or just a regular clapton, (like a 40g framed staple) I hold the wire rather close with decent tension to help guide the wire into place. I also find a very very slight forward angle with my left hand helps most of the time when it comes to staggering, but it's got to be very slight. You can do it brother!

Stepping up my build game

This is what I get to build on weekends, took 3 hours
IMG_20180616_203534-1209x1612.jpg

This atomizer is the easiest to build and wick that I've ever used for MTL (besides squonks, but come on)

It's got little ledges to hold the extra leads in place while you tighten the screws; keeping wire still in those style atties (Kanger rba, kayfun type, etc) has always been a pain in the butt til now

I still can't figure out how it doesnt leak where the two halves meet, without any kind of gasket, but it doesnt, so....cool :D

It comes with like 4 different size air restrictors, and the airflow control ring is easy to use, so it's super :hearts:. It's really for MTL though, I dont know if it will wick right for DL if that's what you do

I got mine from 3f, lots of complaints from other people for the one on FT

Ah ok. Yea I'd rather have a tiny pod for mtl. These would be great for it but I work hard labor and know I'd fuck it up in my pocket. I like to keep a pod in my pocket so I don't have to go back to the truck often

These things are little bricks, but if you regularly get slammed with anvils at the waist I could see there being a problem

BB Box would protect your leg like armor

I'm jk, if I didn't have a used, cheaper sxk kind I would probably be more careful with it, but right now if a bear chased me I would throw my bb box at its head and expect to vape over the bear's unconcious body

I need to go to sleep, goodnight

For regular staple coils, try using the ziploc technique and guiding the fusing wire with just the left side of your left thumb whilst resting your left forearm onto the left side of your lap underneath the [front edge of the] table. The ziploc's small friction provides the tension you need, and, the much greater distance between the ribbon stack and your lap will help a lot better than holding the wire only four inches away... another bonus you get from using the ziploc technique is you can just gently nudge the card-index-box with your foot to move it a very small step farther to the left each time, as doing so won't remove the tension at all so if you pause and move your chair a step farther to the left every once in a while, then from start to finish you can basically just comfortably keep leaning onto your lap whilst you're focusing on the angle with magnifying goggles.

I think what @raymo2u is saying is that he gets more satisfaction as an artist by showing off more complex builds than he does by showing off what he would typically vape. I mean I'm with you in the sense that I don't think a good pair of aliens are ever boring but I could see how Raymo might be bored with them in the context of posting them and showing them off. Sure, but aiming for the best vape (although pretty much equally subjective) and keeping it just simple enough to satisfy that goal while still being able to show them off is far less boring IMO than merely showing off the kind of added complexity the sole purpose of which is to show it off.

Build some 3 and 4 Core Aliens for Every Weekend, 12 hours Friday-Sunday, Making 300-400 Pairs, for 8 Months....Then you'll also feel aliens are boring from there on out :D:D MY body cringes at the thought of making them again...It almost killed my enthusiasm for building in general but Im kinda glad things went south like they did, cant imagine how M.Terk or Chef goes on....unless I was building something different every time I think Id hang myself with 18g...

I like building and sharing things that challenge me, in school I never felt challenged. I never did my homework or paid attention but somehow I absorbed the information and aced tests...it was the only reason I graduated and went to tech school. Now that Im out of school and found youtube/instructables.com, I have tried to learn as much about everything and anything I could for the past decade...I feel motivated to "conquer" what I jump into, get as good as I can and then seem to phase into something else, building hasnt been like that and I really would like to keep interest invested into it....plus Im still not on top yet...

...and as many of you may have forgotten, Im still a dick ;)

I hear you man. Making 3 core aliens bores me at this point as well, purely from the perspective of showing my builds. I took the safe road and studied hard throughout high school and college so I could afford to support a family. There were times concentrating on certain classes was really challenging. Thank you for your encouragement and setting a good example for the rest of us builders. And you're not as much of a dick as you might think. There are some real dicks on here that you just have to avoid. @CrazyChef v2.0 and @mach1ne are both guys I consider to be my building heros and although there is a lot of space between us they have become my friends. They have taught me about what it is to be a positive online presence. You're a very positive presence. So thanks I appreciate it.
