Got a clip on macro lense for my phone, and made a fralien. Alien fused it really slowly because I overstretched the first decore and didn’t wanna ruin my ribbon stack. I should go slower from now on, way easier when I can see the decore rolling onto the cores.

Doesn't PayPal automatically pull the money from your bank?
Yea but if you transfer from pp to the bank takes a full day. Or weekend if it's my bank. I usually do the same thing meg did. Transfer to my bank then find something I like before it clears back to me.

Have you considered linking a credit card to your pp instead of linking the bank to it? IMO it is the most convenient way if all you do with pp is shop online.

Exactly, usually takes less than 24 hours, but I did not get lucky this weekend. Req'd it out after 7PM Friday, still hasnt gone over

I know you asked him and not me, but I don't have a credit card (my card is debit only), and I would rather wait than pay a fee for speed

P.S. I get to build tomorrow!!

first chance to build in quite some time.

SSFC
8*.4x.1 N80 framed with 28g KA1 / 38 N80 and fused with 40g N80

of course, I've once again misplaced my clipon macro so photos are horrible, luckily it always turns up eventually.. (once my daughter "remembers where she seen it last" lol)

ended up with enough for 2 coils, so I guess I have a spare.

Nice. I gotta get some 40g soon.. I went from 36g to 38g and it was pretty easy so I was thinking of trying 42 but 40 seems to be an essential gauge hmmm

Practice braiding. 5 loop 38g over 26g all n80. Its “staggered” not sure if that’s what you would call it, but I looked around alternating cores.
Made a 5.5 wrap 3mm coil @.22 ohms, even with the mess ups it vapes so nice, and these braided coils seem to have surprisingly few hotspots when you burn em in.

one of these days when I hit the lotto that I dont play or marry up or otherwise no longer have to worry about work/monies, I'm going to sit down and learn a few braided builds - they always look awesome...

I think I made a single coil in like 70 minutes. It takes a while. It’s nice when you wanna watch a movie with the wife but still wanna build lol. I am by no means good at it yet, this pic is the best inch hehe. Watch some YouTube videos and practice the braid motions with 28g so you can see what’s going on. It’s really confusing at first, but you get into the motion. I never thought I could do it but I’m getting better. Ugh if I had more time lol

That's really cool! Where did you learn how to do that build? It's awesome how you have the two round cores in the middle. Is it something you just figured out or did you find a tutorial on it somewhere?

@danielabas makes the best braids I’ve seen here. Check out his pics on this thread. Besides that, just every video I could find lol

You're gonna love it!

I'm set up to start a trial of Halcyon and have an old version of Photoshop, I'm gonna dip my toe into photostacking (also have a good little Canon camera I can hook it up to, with a little tripod to keep things still)
I just got the same one last week. Let’s you hold your phone like one inch from the subject before you start zooming. I’m no photo nerd but for the price it’s awesome!

And I appreciated you sharing it, because it's about $5 cheaper on ebay than anywhere else I could find it! Also recommended by jriley, he's gotten some awesome shots with it (and our phones are twinkies)

This is about the average amount of images I do per build. The furthest zoomed out pictures are around 30 pictures stack, the macros are around 60-70 stacked, and the super macros are between 90-130 pictures stacked. Roughly about an hour and a half of shooting, with a half hour of just stacking those images. Every image is then meticulously edited, I recently put in my Instagram story how I actually accomplish my editing and many people were shocked. Hours and hours of time just into the editing.

Im not trying to brag but alot of people think its just a small hobby type thing and people just get free shit when they're sponsored, that may be true for some people but I think I put more time into building, shooting/stacking, editing than I put into my real job....and I do it because I love it and I like seeing the feedback. You guys are worth my time, we share common ground and a love for working with our hands, I have yet to meet a "real" builder that isnt into progressing and fine tuning their work. Thank you everyone for being invested.

I wished i had time for stacking

Thanks King, yea the 28 gauge was way to thick, definitely gotta use a lower gauge for the braiding. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
I used 28g to learn the braids but it’s pretty unvapable. But learning is waaaay easier on 28-30 gauge imo
I’ve never tried 34 gauge but i find 36 g starts to look pretty massive at 7 loop. I’ve been doing 5 loop 36g because it doesn’t take as long but I’m dying to sit down and try 38g 7 loop. @danielabas tip about being able to leave and come back seems to be the most important tip because this is time consuming lol. I still haven’t tried leaving and coming back because I’m worried I’ll lose the time I already put in.
