I have a Eleaf istick 30W and i wanted to put a SMOK TFV12 RBA Edition on it, then my friend started talking to me about ohms and what not, now i have no clue what to do, would the TFV12 RBA Edition work on my istick?
should i buy it?

No. The TFV12 requires much more power than the 30w istick is capable of delivering. You'd need a mod capable of at least 120-150w to get the performance for which that tank was intended.
Come to find out it was probably the wrong type i was looking for anyway, i'm looking for Mouth to lung setup, anything come in mind that can work on my istick?

i want the nautilus but i couldn't find a rebuildable coil, and the Kanger toptank mini, is one i'm sure i can't fuck up rebuilding the coil.
You should not run into issues, as you can build your coils to your own specifications regarding ohms.

Perfect pairing on the iStick 30W would be a Nautilus Mini~! So perfect I was using an iStick TC40W with a Nautilus Mini just last night.

My second vape kit nearly 2 yrs ago was a TopTank Mini (with the RBA head) and the KBox Mini.

Once I learned on, and mastered building on that tiny Kayfun-type RBA deck, all other coil builds I've done since over nearly a dozen different setups where I am building my own coils seems easy to me.

I also watch a TON of YT vape videos, so that probably helps too. DJLSB, Vaping Biker, Mike Vapes, Suck My Mod are a few to look at if nothing else.

The folks at the shop that sold me the Kanger kit told me that I must be a Wizard or something if I thought that the deck was easy to build on, but after that I was hooked and stopped buying the SSOCC coil heads, and thereafter always bought rebuildable atomizers only.

After a long way around, I am vaping on and enjoying very much my TopTank Mini, which sits on my Eleaf Pico 75w.

I have a 26g SS316L coil, of 9 spaced wraps on 3mm ID, which comes out to 1.01 Ohms exactly and I am vaping temp control mode 18w @ 420F, and really great flavor and nice clouds too.

So, +1 on the TopTank Mini.

Yup. The Kanger subtank is what I started on.....and I still do from time to time!

The Kanger Subtank was a true breakthrough of it's time in easy tank style vaping.
It allowed me to reduce my nicotine levels instantly by half.

When I started vaping in 2012 I remember Kanger had the best working clearo (The MT3s and EVOD) because they were using bottom coil instead of top coil with a long wick like the CE4/5.

Then they took over the game again when I switched from the pen style ego/clearo setups to the regulated tube mods like the Vamo when they released the words first glass tank the kanger protank V1 (Sometime in 2013)

They were always ahead of their time until a little after the release of the Subtank reg/mini/nano then they fell off.

The Kanger Toptank would be a better buy then the subtank because they are the same thing except for the extra bonus features of the toptank.

The Subtank always was flawed in it's fill design when you had to fill the tank upside down you could never get it more then about 75% of the way full because the juice would leak out through the drip tip if you filled it too much.

The toptank totally solves this issue.

it came with the RBA deck and people are saying the deck fixes a lot of the leaking issues so i'm just waiting for my KanthalA-1 wire and cotton to come in.

The premade coils are ass

True....I do like the top fill thing. :D But I have quite a few subtanks due to sales, etc....top tanks(as far as I can tell....please tell me if I’m wrong) are a little harder to come by. And their replacement items(glass, o rings) are also a little harder to find. Everyone has the subtank orings.....if we’re even talking about such little nit picky things.

Love my Subtank Mini's, hate the factory coils though.
Yep do not leak or dribble with the RBA deck and much better flavor as well.
And the little coils that come for the RBA are crap.

UPDATE: on the worst 60$ I've ever spent. Sub box mini starter kit
its a pos , making a coil to vapor's toolbox specs then wicking it isn't rocket science but the thing never works.

Making a coil to specs isnt a science, but it is sort of an art. Stay with it, the reward is waiting for you.

After messing up 3 coils i quickly learned how to do it, my last few coils are perfect or i would like to think so, its the wicking i'm having problems with..

Which is a crucial part of the building process and an art. Look up bowtie wick and do that to yours or watch this video and listen to lurch explain it.

Yes, as @jwill has said, and the videos he has shared, once you understand how to wick the RBA head, and also realize that you need VERY LITTLE cotton (or it's 'dry-hit-city' with too much cotton) you will have a nice vape.

You should see air bubbles coming out of the juice holes of the coil head after every 1-2 puffs, except at first, since the coil has to vaporize the juice that is allready on the wick from when you primed it, then after about 5-10 puffs, you should see air bubbles, and if no air bubbles, then dry hits may be coming soon, since the wick is not adequately pulling juice in to the coil fast enough.

You need to be patient with yourself. Some atomizers I've had to try 40 or 50 different builds and wicking setups to find the sweet spot, so do not give up. Expecting to get it right on the first try is a recipe for disappointment, but the experience you gain will help you to achieve a working and good vape build in less tries down the road, but each atomizer is different and has it's own quirks.

Once you learn on this RBA head, you will be able to build easily on any other Kayfun-style deck. :)

On regulated devices, you need not worry too much about ohms. They typically will not fire below a certain level. You will know when you reach this threshold when you see an "Ohms too low" message.

Still, I wouldn't worry too much about blowing myself up. That only happens in very rare circumstances where either you didn't practice basic battery safety or you went stupidly low on the ohms. I mean you're smart enough to recognize you don't know what you're doing, after all, so you're obviously smart enough to know that low resistance and damaged/unwrapped/low-quality batteries are bad.

Furthermore, storebought coils will never go low enough to where they can cause a battery vent on an unregulated mod. The makers of these coils don't want a potential lawsuit on their hands. If you're a "nervous Nelly", which many of us were at first (including me), I suggest using these for the time being... at least until you learn enough to build. But if you want to build your own coils, I have good news for you - it's actually really easy to stay within the safety zone. :) Still, one should never become too complacent, otherwise accidents occur.

Refer to this guide on which batteries are recommended: https://batterybro.com/collections/moochs-recommended. Mooch is extremely knowledgable with batteries and battery safety, and whatever he recommends is pretty much the gold-standard with vapers.

And here is where you can read up on Ohm's Law if you intend to build: https://www.misthub.com/blogs/vape-tutorials/76788933-tutorial-ohms-law-and-vape-safety-calculator

i pulled out my rba coil and dropped it 10 seconds after come to find out the positive isn't make a consistent connection, so i ordered a new one and it works just fine now
