Ahhhaa!!!
Dude I am all screwed up! Going on day 2 1/2 without sleep. Housesitting at a friends and working from here.. but spending half my time by the pool lookin at vape crap online, my eyes are all ‘atomizer short’ right now.
Ridiculous.
And mannn do I want one of those Orions. Like now. In my face!

You had my attention up until I saw it was a DNA 40. I just don't like that chip! Odds are the DNA 60 model will be coming out for Labor Day!

It's not really a DNA 40. It has a 40 watt limit but it has no screen.
It has three power settings that are low, medium, and high... I forget what the stock setting is, but you can adjust those settings via Escribe. It also does Replay.
This video explains it pretty well I think:

Thank you for that, it looks interesting but given the pod resistance I doubt very much it will be my kind of MTL draw. I'll stick with the MiniFit for now.

I hear you. I think this chip will be great for all sorta of things. Its going to make for some really small mods for sure

May I ask your opinion on the Minifit? How is the temp of the vapor that comes out? Is it on the warmer side, or the cooler side?

What's the battery life like in terms of either refills or ml of juice?

The Minifit has a fairly decent battery life, roughly two pods per charge (1.7 ml claimed, 1.6 or so in real life). Draw is about like a MyBlu but a Dremel can fix that, very slightly warm vapor. I have two and two more on the way, I find myself using them more than any other mod/atty when I'm out and about. For something the size of a flash drive, it is pretty good.

Thanks for the replay and detailed info.

I like the apparent size, but have not had one in hand, and the fill method with the hinged door seems better since you dont have to mess with a rubber stopper to get lost. Also, I like that fact that these are rebuildable and rewickable.

Slightly warm seems good to me. I was considering getting just one to try it, and then if I like it getting a second one, so when out and about I dont have to worry too much about battery life, and when the first one goes flat, I'd likely plug it into a small USB powerbank while vaping on the second one.

I forgot to ask about charging time - how long does it take?

Yes, I saw that there are actually 3 air holes but only 2 are open, and the middle hole can be opened up for more air.

The MyBlu is a good comparison for me, so thanks for that. I've been puffing on the MyBlu on an off and anything looser than that would be very nice. Chain vaping on the MyBlu I can get a nice and warm, almost hot vape, which has surprised me.

Just so you can get an idea of the size, here is a pic.View attachment 117831
Thanks for the comparison photo. I noticed the Justfog C601 in there too. How would you compare that to the Minifit in terms of the aforementioned criteria?

I like the form factor of these smaller pod systems since they seem to be very easy to carry in a pocket, and also easy to conceal so you can be discrete when out in public, and not necessarily a stealth vape, they would present as less intimidating to observers than a stick mod like an Endura T22 or a small box mod with a tank like a Pico 75w and a KFv5.

I dont want to attract too much attention, nor aggravation from other people if I happen to go off to the side to have a vape, and these smaller pods seem ideal for that. Size of a flash drive seems perfect for this, no?

The vapor temp has a bit to do with the coil you have in the pod. I put a 1.8 ohm NR-R-NR coil in the MiniFit and the vape is very decent. Both Minifit and c601 use the same coil (1.6 ohms) so the vape is similar. The difference, beside size, is the c601 is almost double the mAh and pod volume. The MiniFit pod goes in the batt pack only one way, the c610 has air holes on both sides so it doesn't have a specific pod orientation.

Mucho mango super sweet! All you meed now is a MF bridge and it will be heaven! Enjoy it in good health!:vino:

Does it leak ? Is there spitback can u take a pick of the pod out next to the device

Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
I'm on my 20th or so refill, and on the 1.8 ohm coil I put in there....no leaking or spitback. I'll snap a picture of the pods when I get home.

Edit: I forgot to mention that both the MiniFit and the c601 are five clicks on/off, something particularly useful if the mod finds its way in your pants pocket.

The way I see it, I'd rather mess up a $18 pod than a $300 BB. Yes, I'm having fun with them but when I'm inside and kicking back, it is with a BB or squonk. I usually Vape 1 mg or no nic, the pods have 6 mg and six drops of 9mg/ml WTA. They sure do the job when I'm on the go or working in the backyard.

All in good fun brother. I've been eyeballing the new wave of MTL RTAs for my COV Volt so I'm in the same boat haha

I get that, no offense taken. I have and use a Zenith (24 mm, it sits on a new Pico 75?) and a Siren2. The Zenith is drop in coil, the Siren is rta, both are good, nice flavor.

I hear the new Plexus MTL mesh coils are awesome for the Zenith.. I think they're compatible.
My front runners right now are the Siren 2, Cthulhu Hastur Mini MTL, or a clone Skyline with the drop kit.

I can vouch for the Siren2, I don't have the others and the BB has me happy.

I bet you're right but all those little pieces....another reason I didn't much care for the VapeShell or the Berserker. They try to cover too much and inevitably do a so-so job of it.

You want to try it? I'll mail the whole kit to you... I am 97% sure you will really like it. The remaining 3% dislike will be how the air discs come out ;)

and lets say you don't like it...you can then mail it to jmoney and see if he does...if he doesn't he can mail it back to me ;)
C'mon Brew...

So with all the talk of these ceramic coils for the BB and the great flavor and longevity... also toying with the idea of trying a genesis atty. I fused the two ideas and wondered has anyone tried using a ceramic rod for wick instead of the stainless mesh? Too risky maybe?

I wouldn't bother, the capillary action of 325/400 mesh would out perform ceramic hands down.

I missed a quick sale on FB of a Le magister for $50.

Thinking about picking up that Kindbright Monad clone on 3f though

See I know nothing about gennies... I was mostly just thinking about the flavor and longevity factor... I guess it's not in constant contact with the juice like a coil head so that makes sense.

Edit: I have to start proofreading for autocorrect typos before I post...

Thanks for the info.

Can you use wire that is not NR-R-NR (like some thin gauge KA1 or SS)? or will it burn the plastic housing if the 'legs' get too hot?

I like these mostly for:

a) the ability to rebuild with the wire leads trapped by those gold-colored pins
b) for the click-to-fire
c) 5-clicks on and off so you can disarm it to prevent accidental firing, and do not have to depend on a sensor to fire (which seems to be iffy and have shorter life based upon my research - one example on the 'iffy' nature: on MyBlu fires nice and easy, and the other one you have to suck hard before it fires)

With the C601, do you find that the rotating clip is a bother? Seems like it would get in the way to hold it comfortably, but may prove handy for tying on a black shoelace to use as a lanyard and keep it around your neck, and not worry about setting it down and losing it...

I also like the fill method on the Innokin EQ and the Eleaf iCard, both have a simple twist-to-open to reveal the fill holes, and both are click-to-fire, but the EQ pods look impossible to rebuild as per the tear-down by DJLSB, and while the Eleaf iCard has replaceable coil heads, they are similar to the ones for the iCare series and so tiny, that rebuilding and getting the coil and cotton back into the shell seems really tricky due to the small size.

Another interesting pod os the ALD Amaze Lemon, in that it also has a hinged door on the bottom of the pod to reveal the fill holes, similar to these Justfog pod units we are discussing...

Yes, all total blasphemy in the Sanctuary of our BB home, sorry for the digression and thanks to everyone for indulging me here. :)

I would imagine building a coil with straight kanthal will ultimately melt some bits and pieces if, as you pointed out, the legs get hot. The clip on the c601 actually comes in handy but then, that's me.
I am stuck on these pods because of the rebuilding ease and I haven't really looked at the others.

I think among us regulars we can do this for one another, we read on here an item that we have and aren't using a ton and ship it off, albeit it clone or authentic to have them try before they buy...$3.50 is nothing compared to nearly $32 for the complete clone kit.

Don't get me wrong, I think the Skyline RTA is really good, but I have other RTAs to fit the tiny mech market in route.

I'll remove the current disc so you can choose which one to pop in, all handy-Crapper your hand is an all
