Uhmm... I'm getting a "Check Atomizer" on mine when I top it with a Mega AeroTank - works fine when using a Nautilus. Attach the Mega on to an MVP 2 and it works fine. Nautilus works on the Hana Modz, as well as an iClear 30s. The Mega was working just spiffy prior to me changing coils and juice. Any ideas...?

Sounds like either the resistance is to low or not making contact with the positive pin.

I've had a DNA 30 clone for under a week now but have been following different threads since the beginning of the pre-orders. There's so much subjective data out there about these clones I'm just curious of the overall satisfaction those that have purchased the clones have had. If you would so kindly fill out this quick survey I would greatly appreciate it. Please only do so if you have first hand experience with these boxes. I'm new to forms so hopefully it will work as I hope :) Thanks in advance for your contributions.

Is it over? I've got a Clouper dna30 and wanted to contribute.

I got one of the first ones from Wet Vapes a few months ago now. It,s a first gen and a little quirky. It has bin working fine for me :)
The Finnish is not that durable and mine is all scratched, No big deal to me. I bring it to work everyday, I find the battery life is way better than a real DNA30 mod I also bring to work everyday (backup) I feel bad for those who have had so many issues. Just not the case for me, 79.99 well spent here :)

Thats really odd , my Cloupor has terrible battery life . When a mod doesn't have a legit on/off switch thats what you get i suppose . It comes on when it feels like it , i would prefer to be the one that turns it on/off .

My cloupor from angelcigs is doing great.it fires every thing i put on it with no delay after it goes to sleep, ohm reader dead on, smaller positive pin, everything sits flush and straight. Efest purple 2500 35a battery lasts about 8 to 9 hours pushing a 1.8 ohm kayfun at 15.5 wats.
This is my favorite device of the 20 or so I have.
I bought the same one. Using it for about three weeks. No problems except I get no volt reading. It always reads 0.0v. I haven't pushed it at high wattage for long lengths of time so I can't comment on that. It comes right out of sleep mode - pronto. Using a sony VTC4.

It's a 1.8, so it's fine. I think it's just not making contact. I tried a paper clip, but it's pretty sturdy. Do I need to use something a little more stiff, or is there anything else I should do? If I screw the base/wick without the tank, it fires up just as it should; when I screw the tank in, that's when it complains...

Not really familiar with that tank but it sounds like something on the tank itself is preventing it from completely screwing down if it works with only the base.

Question for you guys, the DNA30 chip is regulated, so are you using PCB style batteries? I have read that if you use PCB batteries on regulated devices, you can short out the regulation set on the board, is it possible that this is what is happening to you guys? Creating shorts by doubling the Regulation chips used? The DNA 30 also has an output max of 10a, so by using 30a batteries, is that possibly causing a reaction?

Celtic I have a DNA 30 I haven't use it that much cause I haven't got a atty yet. But in my book it's to use sonys 4's or 5's.
That's all I got. Sorry I couldn't be useful.

Now it's displaying "Check Atomizer" when using *any* tank. Anyone have any ideas? Do I have a dead box? :(

There were a lot of reports on the first wave of Cloupor devices having an over sized center pin in the 510 connection and a small insulator. Have you possibly tightened down an atty to tight and shorted it? I'm not sure what the clones display when it's shorted as I've been to afraid to test it :). Could also be your not making contact with center pin. If you have an adjustable atty try adjusting it out a bit to where you know it's making contact. If that didn't work I would desolder the wires from the 510 and solder a Fat Daddy Vapes repair insert onto it. If it fires then I'd know the problem is in the 510 and I'd drill out the box and put the insert in permanently. If it still didn't fire the problem would have to be either in the board or the wires going to the board. At which point I'd probably buy an Evolv DNA 30d board and replace the guts.

I have 15 different DNA devices and the only clone I have is the Clouper DNA30 box (CHana).
It works flawless. I have no issues and can't tell them apart. I use it everyday.

I'm glad you piped in, Joe, because I bought mine based on what you said in the "Deals and Steals".
Like I stated above, I've had no epic issues. All I forgot to add was that the usb light stays red even when it's fully charged.
That's a 'so what' for me. Unless somebody has something important to add to that.

Is there any " fix" to get the button lock and the screen flip and other functions to work on mine> Like a firmware patch or something?

I've had the same results with my clone. Works flawlessly and cant tell the difference between an original.

This thread could be closed as I had to remove the survey due to someone repeatedly submitting info to skew the results.

Well all very interesting stuff going with these reproductions they are not really copies or clones actually. As much as I wanted one of these when I first saw it I stopped myself and waited. I now have a v3 if this mod from mount baker. Haven't had it long though so will post back here in a month or two see if I'm still getting along with it. My ohms seen to be reading just fine and my unit doesn't need to wake up to fire. I just press the fire button my display comes on and she vapes straight away. I am also discovering that I don't need to do sub ohm builds to get super dense vapor and flavor. I love my mechanical mods they are truly works of art in some cases, but this device is so far amazing me. I'll do the survey in a few more days after I've put this through my paces.

My clone died today. :(

It was working up until yesterday, but when I picked it up earlier and tried to use it, the device just started smoking. I took it outside as it was getting pretty hot and was afraid it might explode. I let it cool for a little while, then I opened it up and took the battery out - the side where the chip is is burnt. :(

I had high hopes for it, but it didn't even make it three weeks before it bit the dust. So disappointing.

Glad i read this, now I'm rethinking ordering one. Was gonna get the one for mt. Baker not so sure now...

Well I'll tell you what there seem to be different ones being sold from different factories. I think you should read the reviews on their site. The one I purchased is from Mount Baker Vapor and seems to not have any problems at all thus far. They also offer a six month warranty on this device as well so you're protected there.

Great! So I am reading these threads I'm starting to think my good run is over. I purchased mine from angel ecigs and it has worked great for the past 2 months. Then today started reading Check atomizer with every atty I put on it. So I guess I'm screwed.

Does it still vape, regardless?

if you didnt short anything out try this

and if that doesnt work smell for burnt electronics and if u smell it it's fried, a number of things could have happened to cause this

this is why im moving towards legit dna30s (or dna40s) even if i have to build them myself to keep price reasonable

So far so good it's been a month and my replica from mount baker it's still working fine. I've been using it with my magma knock off with some dual but mostly single coils ranging from. 9-2.5 ohms it really performs better with the higher ohm coils. They take advantage of the full range of this device. I'm starting to suspect that if you want to sub ohm on a regulated device the higher wattage mods would be better equipped to handle those loads. I could be wrong here but until I get one of the 150 or 180 watt mods to try out I can't be certain about my theory. It's awesome that I am getting the sub ohm experience with higher ohm coils on this device.

I got one from MBV also, it's worked great in the time I've had it, wish they sold a green one too, the cloupor ones are legit. "Knocks on coffee table"

I wanted a green one to. I am currently working on my own okr box mod so I may just get the kit for these 30 watt mods from fast tech they have the green and copper colored boxes and the chips and make my own. I'm also considering putting one of the fat daddy vapes 510 connections on the red one I have from mtb. Only thing is once you mess with the electronics it will void their six month warranty.

Just thought I would add a little I have had my hana clone for just over three months now it worked fine up until a few days ago now no matter what I build and put on it at any ohms it keeps cutting out and going back to the evolv dna logo I opened it up and removed the battery to try and reset it but nothing I checked all the solder joints they were all fine I checked the earth wire I even had a look at the chip under a microscope to see if it had any kind of pin hole burns on the chip set but nothing I gave up in the end and purchased a genuine evolv chip from dimension engineering cost around 35 pounds all in will be fitting it in the next few days I had the same issue with a clone in the past and done the same bought a genuine chip no more problems so in the end you get a real great mod without the trouble of the chip going just in the middle of a good vape

While you have it apart, it'd be a good time to fit the enclosure with a fatdaddyvapes 510 if you're so inclined. Takes an m10x1.0 tap to thread the connector hole after the stock connector is removed. Just a thought.

I think three problem with these replica devices lies in the which company is putting them together and where they are getting their chips from. I believe the Chinese chips are good and some better than the evolve ones. Some of these companies could be getting the bottom of the barrel chips and just trying to make a fast buck at consumer expense. The legit Hana's have had their fair share of issues also. Higher price doesn't always equal better quality.

Yes I did think about it i bought a fatdaddy's 510 a few weeks ago I think it was $9 on ebay be a nice upgrade thanks for the info

Man thats really unfortunate , i bought a Hana clone with the intent of replacing the chip but will continue to use it until it dies . So far it has performed great , it's battery life is unreal . This one lasts twice as long as my Cloupor Dna clone.

FT has full and mini size 50 watt versions now and they have step down capability.

I bought the FT clone 30 chip for 24.00 a while back. You already have everything else.

If you look at the reviews for that chip , especially the latest reviews over the past month or so , they are excellent . I was really surprised about the positive feedback , especially for how cheap you can get one for .
