Hey, Soupy! Good question! There's a ton of talk about NicSalts, and little to no explanation for what they are, so here goes:
I'll try to go in-depth, so I hope I don't begin to ramble and make no sense! I'll try to explain the difference as simply as possible. "Freebase" Nicotine, as it is referred to, is the traditional version of nicotine used in
vape juice.
However, when it comes to Salt nicotines, in which the nicotine is in alkaline-form (An alkaline is a molecule that has a pH level higher than 7), the acidity of the 'Salt' requires a more demanding chemical change before being included in vape juice. That chemical change is often triggered by the introduction of another acid in order to break down the nicotine molecules for absorption. The result of that chemical change is a purer Nicotine that allows the user to absorb higher quantities without the intense throat hit, and without sacrificing the flavor of the vape juice.
In short, Salt nicotine vape juice doesn't actually have table salt or another form of salt in it, the "Salt" actually refers to the chemical state the Nicotine molecules are in when they are introduced into the vape juice! I hope that answers your questions!
