Pecan Custard.jpg

I found a recipe at ELR that was very good, and in my opinion has been made better. If this is your recipe, you are welcome.

It is a wonderful pecan custard remixed into what I think is an amazing pecan custard.

Definitely looks like a winner....!

Think i might be lacking the butter pecan tho - will be on the way shortly if it's missing from the arsenal.

Ah never been south but it looks awesome. I don't know what it is, but (CAP) butter cream as well as (FW) butter pecan gives me some weird allergic reaction :(

I'm going to try it with (WF) butter cream frosting and (PUR) butter pecan. Just got the pecan so that's just extremely convince, since I need to test it anyways lol. (FW) butter pecan has a slight caramel nuance of I'm not mistaken, might add some (WF) Caramel butter if purilum doesn't have any of that. Wish me luck and thanks for sharing!

@Letitia9 if you keep the gelato under 4%, the steep isn't that bad, around 7 days. The rest of that mix so might take a while lol.

Purilum butter pecan has the same note as the WF caramel butter already. Almost identical minus the pecan. I add some FA caramel for a boost. Also the nut note is softer than FW. Thanks for the gelato tip.

Sweet thanks, at least I won't need to add extra then lol. I don't like (FA) caramel but great tip for people that do. As I said, didn't even open the pecan bottle yet lol. Was just hoping that it might be a good sub.I

Auto Correct fck off! Lol

You need to come down south. Friendly people, good food and good times. Southern comfort, Southern Hospitality are real things.

Right after we got married, we moved to Atlanta for 5 months so I could get to know my wife's family and have a proper wedding. I was quite fit when I arrived. When I left I was about 15 lbs overweight from enjoying all the good food. Pecan pie is a killer.

Dang that recipe sounds delicious....Love butter pecan anything. A premium ejuice butter pecan would probably become one of my favorites.

Its good stuff. Make some, you will not regret it.

I grew up in TN. I've only lived in MS since 1985. We always called it pee-can but my wife insists on calling it pe-con. Irritates the hell out of
me! :D

We are pee-con all the way until you get up to Dallas (which might as well be New York as far as I am concerned). TN and MS are both beautiful. I have family in TN and work in MS. Get to come home today. Very excited.

If you don't mind me asking, where in ms do you work?

I was working from Gulf Port, Glutstat and Flowood. I have to make two more trips out there this year but I generally do not work in MS.

Do you suppose those flavors have AP in them? That stuff makes my lips go numb. I can almost understand putting AP in butter pecan, but it would be a little bizarre to put it in a cream or custard, imo.

I love me some southern pee-con custard. Been throwing a little super sweet down on it lately since I have been craving sweets. It works.

I didn't order the super sweet because I already got tfa sweetener. I'm hoping it'll work just as well.

This is definitely some good stuff.I made a 30ml tester, let it steep about 10 days, then vaped through the whole bottle in a few days,so just made a 120ml.Definitely a keeper.

Tomorrow will be one week steep time. I'm like kid waiting on x-mas. I made a version exactly like the recipe then one with double sweetner, since I love sweet.

Would love to hear how it is

Well, crap happened and I didn't get to mix it until today. For me right now, it's a little custard-forward but I'm gonna give it a few days and see how it develops. It may, or may not, need a little more of the butter pecan but time will tell. :)

Edit: I shoulda bought the CAP Super Sweet I guess.
