After being a computer support guy for a long time, I'll believe anything.
You can tell people stuff til you're blue in the face and some of them will do it anyway. At least until they have a disaster.
Phone conversation:
Them: Hey Greg, I don't know what happened. All I did was __________ and now _________ is happening.
Me: "Remember when we had that talk last time, and I told you never to do _____________, OR always do ______________ or else ______________ might happen? This is why."
Them: "Oh yeah. I guess that was pretty important after all huh?"
Believe it or not, some of them more than once. OR even twice. Young people who think they know everything are especially bad for this.
