I think peer pressure is most of it. that is how I started smoking. not that there was much of any pressure. I just liked smoking.
and that poster. that is just some 'know it all' asshat trying to make people do what HE wants.

It does to me too Lucy. Leaving the religious side of it out of it, back in the 70's that kind of negative message ended up encouraging me to try a few unmentionables that I probably would not have if it wasn't for them. And it wasn't only me.
IMO these dumb attempts to get kids to do something always end up a net negative.
Stop trying to legislate Morals and tax "sin" - hell, they don't even want to TAX it: they want it completely controlled by their pals.
